I’m drinking the Selvapiana right now - and I must say - this might be the first Italian wine that has really impressed my palate. Having pasta tonight - hopefully it will only get better!

    QOTD: Only WLTV so far.

I found the Selvapiana Bucerchiale Chianti Rufina at a local wine shop, but it was out of stock, a 1996 for $17.

Gary without the “c” before the “k”, you might want to correct the spelling of “Gary Vaynerchuk focuses on Chinati wines on this Monday”. “Chinati” should be “Chianti”. Very good episode. You might want to chek out the Chateau la Coustarelle (Cahors) 2004, the gold medal at the Macon Concours…compared to silver medal of Haut Monplaisir Cahors Cuvee Prestige 2002. Bonne dégustation.

QOTD: Does it have to be a vlog, or do regular podcasts count? This is the only video internet show I watch, but I’m a big fan of The B.S. Report (Bill Simmons’ podcast on ESPN) and The Spodcasters (KUSports.com podcast).

Great show Gary!! I’m watching way late, trying to get caught up, been out of town. Really appreciate the Chianti education early in the ep!!

Q: WLTV is the only show i watch online and of course my favorite.

I know I’m late in responding but I’m just now catching up on the shows. Anyways, my favorite podcast has to be hands down diggnation. It combines two of my favorite things, nerdy conversation and beer. No offense to you wine drinkers out there, I love wine too, or anything with alcohol in it. But there’s nothing like drinking a beer with your buddies. Besides, I live in College Station, and trust me, you don’t want the wine they offer in most bar joints. I know, its sad. :( Allright, have a good night guys.

Ditto on the Ruffino…I get customers ALL the time who are like Ruffino zombies…”take me to your Ruffino…” especially around the holidays. Drives me nuts. A great Chianti Classico I’ve tried lately and LOVE is the Livernano from Leonardo Locascio…great wine, great packaging and around $20.

WLTV takes all my viewing time. Is there another wine show on so regularly of such quality? I haven’t found anything.

You can’t imagine how it felt to have my opinion of Ruffino affirmed here. It used to be the only Chianti on the shelf, outside of Bolla, at my small town liquor store, and I could never understand why. There is a world of Tuscan wine that people never experience because of the swill that continues to float over from huge producers. I wish I sold in Jersey…I’d bring in a few of our Tuscans. Anyway, great job, and I’m ordering one of the Selvapiana; I’ve never seen it our market.

QOTD: WLTV is the only “show” I watch on the Internet. I sometimes check out the short info clips at Wine Spectator, but other than that and news clips, nothing. I can’t remember how I found this thing either.

Cool Chianti show. I’ve always enjoyed the Nozzole Riservas at a similar (~$20) price point. Toscolo is a good cheapie too.

QOTD: Nothing. Get a kick out of punching different searches into YouTube, but that’s about it.
