QOTD: Going back through the decades, starting with the rieslings, Niersteiner, blue Pieroth, most anything kabinett. Getting into the reds, pretty simple ones – Mommesin red, Farnese red, chianti, anything Pere Bouchard. More recently, with trying to expand the “pal” with some newer whites, reds such as merlot, malbec – not really any “go to’s”. Also had a long run >15 years ago with a couple of German-styled Canadian whites: Winzertanz and Hochtaler. Interestingly, the Quebec-produced editions of both of those were superior to the Ontario and BC varieties. They served well through countless Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving dinners.

    the bandit wines
    from the 3 thieves
in da box or the ol ’skool jug.

I like all they produce, exception being the
chardonnay, because I’m not a big fan of the chard.

I loved Miner Estates 2002 Syrah, which I can no longer find.

Wish I could find something like it, still looking.

QOTD: Chateau Ste. Michelle Eroica Reisling (Dr. Loosen). I mostly drink red but this Reisling is the perfect everyday wine.

Nice show. Nice diversity but ended a little flat. You’re moving the show in the right direction. I’m going to look for some of these wines just for fun.

QOTD: Any Chablis Blanchot (flint stone for days and days). The only wine I could locate on a map within 500 yards in a double blind. It happens to my mother’s favorite wine too (R.I.P)

QOTD: My favorite wine up to now would have to be the Chateau Haute-Serre from the Cahors region in France. An elegant black robe with dark, ripe blackberries and a subtle black licorish lingering aroma. Good show guys and gals…

HA! What does Gary know about Cisco? I work for a very large distribution company that supplies all the fine upstanding local establishments with Cisco, be it apple or berry flavored(the colors are so authentic). Thanks Gary for all your hard work and play.

    Dominus

Nice show with Sarah. Fun gal.

QOTD: My life-changing, most favorite wine of all time is the ‘88 Dominus (surprise, surprise) but if I had to choose a wine to have every day which means it has to be food-friendly, I would have a nice French champagne, i.e. Gossett.

Have a great trip to Seattle. Be safe.

    Cheers!

QOTD: A Spanish wine called Red Guitar that my girlfriend picked up as a joke/surprise (since I play a red guitar) blend of 55% Tempranillo and 45% Garnacha… surprisingly for me, more on the fruity side of things.

Hey, next time ask Sara to sing a bit. She has a nice voice! I don’t have one favorite wine at this point, a go-to wine. I’m still trying different things all the time. O.K. in general I like Southern Rhone blends :-) .
I’ll try to make a spoof video. Prolly won’t win the contest though.
ps: Please Pick ME ME ME ME for the France contest! ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME. BTW I wonder if you can stuff the ballot box.
