Surprised to see the 2 top producers get canned but I love it, long live the underdog.
You should taste La Vendimia, a spanish wine that a lot of people are raving about for 15$ but I find a little blend and boring, not bad but nothing special.

I’d like to see you taste the ’00 Chat Le Pin Pomerol. Not so much because I care what it tastes like, I just want to see if you love your audience enough to bust open a $3,000 wine just because we asked.

And whether or not you’d use the spit bucket…

Gary, thanks for the ChdPape reviews – – I’m kind of bummed about the Clos des Papes which I bought a lot of because of the reviews.

The wine I wish you would review is the 2000 Chateau Pavie. 100 points and a ton of controversy. Is this wine representative of its terrior? Was there artificial wine making going on her to produce something unnatural. Is it a Frankstein? Are you siding with Parker or the rest of Bordeaux? I wish you could lay your hands on the ’03 Pavie too and taste back to back.

I am sooooo curious on your take of this wine, and this wine making. I know no one personally who has tasted it – would love for you to do it, globally, on WLTV.

I also echo congrats to Ray N. on his soon to be new family.

Gary – It seems there’s a ton of post-2000 wines around. How about trying some older vintages like pre-1990 for us???

    Thanks for another great episode.

I challenge you to give a full on tasting and descriptive opinion of the Franzia Chablis. It may give some closure over episode 69 (haha) and I think that it would be interesting to watch. After that I think you may want to wash it down with the ’04 Farleigh Zin. The Farleigh ’04 is a popular item and I believe a review of it is in order.

Wow! I finally managed to finish viewing all 73 episodes of WLTV. I’m a newcomer, and just started watching a couple of days ago. Great stuff!

Congratulations Ray N, so how was the Insignia?

Recently I have been getting into Italian wines alot – there’s soooo much to taste ;). So I enjoyed the brunello vs. barolo episode very much and therefore I would really like to see an episode on super-Tuscans. I’m also wondering how people here in the comments, that are really into Napa Cabs, feel about Italian wines with the Sangiovese/Cab/Merlot blends?

QOD: One of the Bordeaux top wines would be really awesome, but really I would like to see you taste one of Gaja’s barolos – I got to get me one of those!

  • Gary – I have a question for you. What are my storage options since I live in an apartment? I’d like to keep a few reds and whites on hand and ready to drink at an hours notice. But I’d also like to store a few wines for 5 or so years. Any suggestions?

Gary – I’d like you to taste San Rustico Amarone 2000 …a $21 Amarone is a steal, if it’s any good. Or how about Cesari Amarone 2001 also very reasonable?

To Gary and all who wished me well for my first child on the way, Many Thanks. Only got married 2 months ago, and I was able to sneak in 2 cases of Tignanello for close friends and family.

Has to laugh at the Hulk doll. Not knowing anything about wrestling, took my brother to first Wrestlemania at the Garden. He has been a fan since he was little. No World Series or Super Bowl has matched the intensity of that crowd at the Garden, ever. Hulk tears his shirt off, and it lands in my lap. Next thing I know, a bunch of people are trying to pull it out of my hands. My bro finally sees me struggling and with one fell swoop, gets everyone off of me, and theyt start congratulating me. My bro still has the shirt.

If you remember Gary, I am the “Ray” who emailed early on and am in the restaurant. I really enjoy when you talk about the pairings of the wine with food. It definitely enhances both the dining and the wine experience.

    Keep up the great work.
