My two oldest boys, CJ and Jake, just told me the other character is BRUNO.

As you know, I have the ’03 Castano Hecula (ep. 4) in the Decanter.

I think I’m going to open the ’03 Pessagno Zinfandel this weekend.

    Gary,
I’m glad you didn’t include the episode where you trashed my favorite wine. I may have been pissed this time. Just kidding 🙂

Is the t-shirt thing still open? Mind if I throw in a few late entries?:
    “We are VaynerNation”!
Some of us remain VaynerTrollers or VaynerLurkers
    VaynerPosse
    VaynerPeeps
    VaynerBloods
    VaynerCrats
I’ll get back in if I think of any more.
I’ll be drinking Reislings, Gewurztraminers, and Oktoberfest beer. It’s Oktoberfest weekend in my neighborhood!

I thought the last two retrospective episodes were a blast. I am no longer a lurker; I just wanted to come out before 100!

    We love the show!!!!!

I’m just finishing a Chateau St. Michelle Merlot ’02.

Wow – I have watched since Ep 1 – and how much I have forgotten.. (I remember a bunh of these eps – but some I totally forgot. I am going to have to go back this weekend and watch old eps and catch up on some things. Been meaning to do this on the CLIO episode as I picked it up a week ago.

Question – I would say that I have a decent palate for getting flavors out of wine on both nose and pallate, but the Mid-Palate – Something of a mistery for me.. I understand it is the difference from the first flavor profile to the finish, but “ain’t I lookin for some of this”? I like a nose of sweatty leather & squished berry, then a taste of smmooth berries ——turning into a raspberry, cherry, chocolate mousse that is such smooth coating of mouth… AWESOME!!!! I actually like the slight changing of flavor profile – “I call this a wine is developing or opening up” Remember- Great Bottles only!!! Tonight – Only GREAT BEEFEATER!!!.. Tomorrow – I may have to break into a vintage Leoville Barton & Doisey Verdrines to make the wife happy!!! – All you guys (Thats includes you Gary) know what I mean. Ya – Thats the $50 bucks at the meat store and $250 in wine store…. Nobody said that “it” was free. You always are paying for it… LOL

    Starting an awesome Calistoga weekend.
Cuvaison Pinot with Roast, Mashed Potatos and Gravy – Ohio style
Clos Pegase Merlot with Brie and Stonies. Watching the Bucks dominate Iowa.
One of the Mums if Cleveland can get a W. Go Browns!

    What a great episode! Awesome!

  • Be careful BM this wine is a monster and needs 3-5 hrs to show true form, as a matter of fact save a class and leave it on the counter all night and taste it for lunch tomorrow and be blown away!

  • Right now I’m drinking the ’04 Olson Ogden Unti Vineyard Syrah. Very nice…and you know what…my girlfriend said, “I am tasting something familiar in this. I don’t know. Almost like a handful of Skittles.”
She has never seen the episode!!!! I fell to the floor laughing. Way to call it Gary. This wine is very nice. I’m glad I have one to lie down though. I feel like it will come around even more in a few years.
Great teaser again guys…Gary hides in the head scripting out Episode #100…and the VaynerClank after the Rosemount. Very funny.
This weekend…what will I be drinking? Well starting tomorrow it depends on what Delta is serving up front for me and my girl as we are flying out to San Francisco in the morning. The rest of the weekend…who knows…hopefully everything will kick ass. Monday…Sawyer Cellars and Larkmead Vineyards. Wednesday…Cass Winery. Needless to say I think I will be sipping some super juice on my trip…thanks again Ian and Gary.
BrandonM…you don’t comment too much. Now if you put out a bunch of idiotic ramblings like my posts might be…then that would be a different story 😉

  • Brandon, what’s up with the password thing for your web page? Is it work related or do you just keep it private?
I have a work web page that is private (not my gravatar link) where my clients can log on to it and submit computer/network issues…maybe you have one too?

Collectively, Gary’s fans may be “The Vaynyard”. Also a good name for Gary’s first wine label!
