  • I only saved a tiny glass of the eleventh hour from yesterday…..but it really is even better after 19 hours of air. I should have pored 12 small glasses, left them all out, and shared them all tonight!

I gotta go check how many bottles I have left, I’m getting low. I guess I’ll be on to a new adventure after their gone.

  • I’ll be posting all of the vaynerFollower-isms sometime next week….a may even set up a voting system online by email address…if I find the time. I’ll be bringing the shirts to the party and haven’t decided if they will be free or small fee. ALL money from the shirts would go to charity, but depending on how many requests we have, I may just give them out.

    SSChris…Any thoughts here?

AND BY THE WAY…I give complete MAD PROPS to SSChris, Gary, Brian Woolley, Chris, Kastner, Gary’s Dad, staff, customers, wine drinkers, Dodger Fans, and anyone behind the scenes doing work on things. SSChris…in all reality, you probably are under appreciated, that’s just the way it goes sometimes, but I think the ones who use it, and know how much time this stuff actually takes, truly appreciate it. I know there are 500 other things you could probably be doing, so the fact that you take time to do it means you really do care about this online community….GREAT JOB!

Brandon M, you’re a good man…many thanks!! Actually, I was mostly kidding (you’ll see that at I start the next paragraph with, “On a more serious note”). Actually, I’ve gotten much . I just expected more responses about the VaynerISM’s being entered in the SS I thought it was hysterical), but I am obviously, a little OCD about WLTV at this point (my wife is starting to give me the dog-tilting-the-head-slightly CONFUSED look at this point.

Regarding the voting, that would be GREAT if you could set up some kind of voting system via email…this will be far more efficient than doing it via comments. I think we need to enlist GARY to make an anouncement on an episode that a formal vote will be happening along with the details of how to vote. He would announce that you will be posting the nominee’s in one of the comments section (knowing you it would likely be Comment #1). I would luv it if he would actually announce the nominiees…just seeing Gary actually announce all of the names will be worth the price of admission.

P.S. I just saw your comment #146 to me on Ep. #96. Love to see your spreadsheet sometime. Also, I remember very well when Gary mentioned your work on the air and how much he loved it, although I had forgotten that it was you who put those together. I also forgot that you called it the Vaynerchucked. So, you really started all of this VaynerEVERYTHING craze. MAAAAD PROPS to you!!
And it was good to watch your animation again. Later, Chris

  • Brandon and Tony…I know you guys are out near San Francisco. Have you eaten at Swan Oyster Depot? Oh my god! it was the best seafood experience of my life! Anchor Steam Beer, 4 types of Oysters (including kumamto), crab salad (so much freash dungeoness crab), clam chowder (pretty damn good), sea urchin (the freshest I’ve had), and fresh Anchovies in olive oil, capers, and red onions. All of this for $85 for two people! In Atlanta to get that amount and quality and freshness it would easily top $200 and be worth it. If you haven’t been, you need to go. 1517 Polk St.

Well guys I will be back with some more of my adventure soon.

BrandonM…I am totally down for paying for a shirt when the time comes. I like the idea of an email vote too.
I look forward to seeing the Viking hat at the party. I hope that everyone can make it too!

MarcT, I’ll add SOD to the VaynerNation “Favorite Restaurant” Spreadsheet (QOD on Ep #88)…place sounds great!

Brandon M, I forgot to comment on the t-shirts. Anything that you want to do is fine EXCEPT for free. You need to at least charge cost…you shouldn’t be out any $$’s. You already putting the time in.

The recaps are great (it’s like watching reruns in the summer). I had the Liberty School Cab last weekend and was very disappointed.
    Can’t wait for episode 100.

I’m not sure if someone’s already suggested this one: VANIACS (derivative of maniacs).

Brandon M, Sorry, but I had the spelling wrong for my nominee in comment #88…it should be Vayniacs (need to include the “y”). I can see the FLASHDANCE music video….with Jennifer Beals dancing to the “Maniac” song, but of course, substituting VAYNIAC.

Although, I think my vote is still for VaynerNation. WE ARE VAYNERNATION..WE ARE VAYNERNATION!!

    GV —

Just wanted to tip my hat to the Jets (and that’s coming from a New Englander). Gutsy performance and certainly the game of the weekend so far. You guys are playing pretty tough for a “rebuilding year”.

Looking forward to the century episode on Wed. I assume you’ll pull out at least one 100 rated bottle…

Yowsa. Some real head-shakers on this retrospective Gary. Thanks again to the crew for piecing together some good fun for us over the weekend. This Vayniac is looking forward to the big 100 on Wed. Cheers, C

    Question for Gary…
Given, the best way to learn about wine is to taste it. Given, you have acquired much of your wine knowledge from traveling the wine regions of the world, and quite literally tasting them. Given, your wine interests were piqued at a young age by reading the works of Robert Parker and The Wine “Speculator” : ). Will you please offer your primary, secondary, and tertiary recommendations of “must have” wine books (not magazines) for anyone interested in building their academic understanding of wine? There are an awful lot of wine books out there. I would really appreciate it!

    Thanks.

Denise – If you’re really serious about learning about wine, go to http://www.wset.co.uk and see if there is a course offering where you live. You will learn about wines from all over the world and learn how to taste them. The WSET is in London but there are several organizations in the US that offer their classes.

Chris, I was able to use the spreadsheet successfully to plan my case selection today at The WL. I again want to thank you for such a great tool. Nice Work! I do have some feedback – One enhancement I would like to see would be a QPR column with sort feature. I try to purchase the best value instead of the highest score or the lowest price. If you can get Gary to commit to a score instead of a range this would seem to be a doable enhancement. Also, some of the data appears to be missing from the spreadsheet. Thanks for your work on it.

Did anyone see the Browns come from behind to win a tough West Coast road game! What a weekend the Bucks dominate and the Browns win…just like it should be.

I really thought they had it today. Great effort though, and that last play was hilarious. Can you imagine if they would have pulled that off!
