    plastic cup? can’t go there except maybe during an outdoors B-B-Q. too old and educated to roll like that. looks good on you though.

    shave Monday? avoid the str8 razor! i do think (and it pains me to type this) the j-e-t-s, jets, jets, jets have a better chance in Foxboro than my Jints have down the turnpike.

    QOD: i assumed you meant commercially available burger, not home recipe. i go against the CA cow-elite and will give Fatburger a nod over IN&OUT “Animal-Style” double cheeseburger.

    I hope the money for the cup goes to a good charity. Way to go, Gary. You’re now an official fundraiser. I’ve been watching you for awhile now and have finally decided to de-lurk and make a post. I don’t know enough about wine to know if your comments about the wines are “right on” or not, but you’re wonderfully funny and a breath of fresh air for the stuffy wine world, plus you bring up some interesting issues about drinking wine. So you’re certainly worth watching for that alone. Keep up the fun!!!

    This is an Aussie style burger. Go to just about any burger place in Australia and you can order this.
    It includes all the usual stuff – the meat of course, plus grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, cheese, tomato sauce (ketchup). But what makes it special – a fried egg and some beetroot (beets) slapped on there. Also a slice of pineapple depending where in Aus you happen to be. Most yanks I have told about this burger have turned up their noses at the idea but those who tried it enjoyed it. So go ahead and try it. Tell me it isn’t awesome. If beets scare you, try it with just an egg. You won’t be sorry.

    Hey Gary,

    Just wanted to thank you for the Wolf Trap – had it last night and loved it!! Also, I now quote your scores to my customers when they ask about certain wines. Their ears always perk up….and I have to be honest, I don’t think they know who you are. Anyways….QOTD – A big fat mid-rare burg with mayo and tons of melty creamy, heart stopping cheese….mushrooms, why not? But for overall value I have to go with the double cheesburger from McDonalds. All that greasy goodness for $.99 come on! I score it an 87+.
