Brandon, with Gary’s mood – I recommend Mondavi Select and Columbia Crest!!!!! I like Your Die Hard selection (but he was in such a Theatrical mood today – both literally and figurtively) that I could not help but pull out some Broadway movie. By the way, I was a Jets fan since 7 years old – and I’m down too….but I was down since Gary switched form the Big Playoff Glass to the “tasting glass”. I knew once he switched – My Jets were history!

Like performance art. Just as I would expect after this weekend.
I know your are sad but revile in how far the Jets came. This is supposed to be a rebuilding year. This bodes well for next year.

When I’m sad( like I was after the horrific loss by Dallas) I like to drink as much Boone’s Farm Apple Blossom wine as I can. I promise you won’t be able to remember why you were sad.

Your overall demeanor today reminds me of how I felt after Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals in 1994 when I had to watch my New Jersey Devils lose to the Rangers with all the Ranger fans celebrating around me and freakin’ Messier sprouting a halo before my very eyes (you know, the “Matteau!! Matteau!!! Matteau!!!! One more moutain to climb, Mount Vancouver!!!” game).
(Yes, I know you’re probably a Ranger fan, so this memory should bring at least a hint of a smile to your face.)

Well we all know what happened the following year, right!! A Devils Stanley Cup!!! So, write it down, our J-E-T-S will WIN the Super Bowl next year! You heard it here first! Man-genious will bring it home, so cheer up!!

QOD- When THIS depressed, I’m afraid the only thing that might help is a shot (or three) of Patron… you know, sort of like electro-shock therapy for the palate. : )

Oh-mi-gosh! I remember the year, 1969 where your Jets, Mets and maybe Knicks defeated my Colts, Orioles (at the time) and Bullets for all the marbles. And we were hugely favored! Talk about sad. 🙁

Regarding the QOD and which wine would I drink when I’m sad? I’m going to go with a Pommery Champagne (Apenage) which reminds me of a trip to Reims where the little woman and I had dinner and stayed the night at Les Crayeres (Chateau Boyer). Unbelievable.

Hang in there Gary. As they say, “the Jets did good.”

Gary, that was like a little bit of you and a lot of Valium. Grow the beard back. It looked good. Really. (Every guy I ever dated – or married – had a beard.) And when I’m sad, I drink whatever is nearest. Sometimes it doesn’t work.

People!!! It’s a game!!! There is ment to be a winner & a loser… Just kick the “Cat” and move on. Count your blessings for your Family and your health and good wine and good food. That’s what’s important in life…

I’m sorry about your J-E-T-S. I hope they weren’t too hard on you at Gillette. I’m a Red Sox fan so I have been through this before. The pain goes away… eventually. It’s a good sign that you still have your Jets bucket…I’m not sure I would be that strong.

One more year of underdog status to make the eventual Superbowl win that much more sweet and profound. Dare I say I’m a Yankee’s fan, but sometimes I find it tough towards the post season, because well they’re the most winning team in baseball, and they’re just expected to be able to do it year after year. The Jets are like the Red Sox, when they do finally get that ring it’ll go down as a great accomplishment in sports history.

QOTD: No wine, staight to the Irish brothers, Jameson and Guiness. And a little Rolling Stones on the speakers, do however try and avoid the Tom Waits and Nick Drake for atleast 2 weeks. Do not go to Mexico either, bad idea when your down.

Dude, you are soooo depressed. Sorry for your loss. You better have some spunk in you tomorrow (or later in this episode).

When you go to Cali, try the Gilurzo(spelling) out of Temecula (outside San Diego)- it’s a GREAT Petite Sirah (if they still exist). Sorry about the JETS, but my E A G L E S beat those G-Men- so that should make you happy.

I am more sorry that people here are gving you so much greif for being sad that your team loosing. It really shows a lot of crass, poor form. It must have been a serious letdown to loose the game, I am sorry for that, I am glad you have a loving and supportive wife and family that is there for you.

I was feeling bummed out because you were so sad, and watching some of the WLTV spoofs really made me feel better.
