QOTD: finals week in Ithaca, New York sometime between 1976 and 1978. I was completely unprepared for my exams and lo and behold, my prayers were answered with close to two feet of snow! Central New York was (and I suspect still is) accustomed to dealing with snowstorms so they NEVER canceled classes. However, since it was the end of April the plows were put away so the professors couldn’t get on-campus.

I’m not worried about you out there in that element with a t-shirt on, I’m more worried about Rick the model wanting you to do a tasting naked. Great show!!!

So if a one-meter long leg of a brass triangle “vayniac” were cooled -200 degrees C, it would shrink unconstrained by 0.00398 m, or about 4 mm. Not a large enough difference to validate the conclusion that the balls in question cannot hold up.

Yes, that’s right..stuck in the car for 16 hrs.!!! That’s the short version…believe me.
