Favorite wine for the summer has to be Albarino right now.

QOTD: Well, it’s still 85 degrees in Boston at 3am, and I just had a glass of Spanish Cab… talk about breaking the rules. HOWEVER, I must admit that I’d much rather have drank a chilled white or Rose. SO, instead of going with a specific wine, I’ll say that zippy-style Gruner, razor-edge Abarino, Cava, or Sakonnet Vineyards Vidal Blanc (ok- I had to rep. RI with a specific producer) would be a better go-to wine for this Summer heat! Sweet Ep., and you know I’ll keep coming back to watch and give my 2 cents every day!!

Fun ep, Gar’ — how well I remember those sweltering Jersey summers.

Even with six wristbands, you could’ve used a little UV protection.

QOTD – On a blistering summer day, I’d probably go for some ice-cold Bon Bon Rose. To drink it at room temp? That’ll take some work!

QOTD: I probably have a home bias here, but that would be a GruVe from Austria – preferably an 05 Nigl privat. At about 20 USD Parker rated it 94 and I’m sure this wine can take 15 years of cellaring – especially in Magnums. Too expensive to drink everyday, but well worth saving for!

QOTD: This year, it’s Pierre-Henri Ginglinger Gewurtztraminer, Pierre-Henri Ginglinger Grand Cru Riesling, and Marco Fabio Muscatel Grano Menudo Vendemmia Tardia from Bodegas Ontanon. Also, if I could get it in Ireland, Chateau Grand Traverse Whole Cluster Riesling from MICHIGAN. Unreal. Seek it out GV.

I never have been a great one to follow the rules. Not intentionally a rebel,(at least not for the last 20 years) but some rules are ridiculous. I break wine rules all the time, but the wine gestapo aren’t banging on my door in the middle of the night.

It’s 95F outside, you’re drinking white wine and I don’t see sweat beading off of those bottles. Do you drink them at room temperature?

Jealous watching you drinking summer wine in the sun. We’ve just had the wettest June in 20 years. This is Ireland, so you know that means WET!!!

QOTD: Hope springs eternal, and there’s always prosecco waiting in my fridge for the right moment.

QOTD: Definitely have to go with the Albarino crowd on this, but I drank an Argentine Torrontes last weekend that was totally clean and crisp (and inexpensive). Good little wine.
