Fun show. But I’m a bit leery of Cali Cabs. Manipulation is far too common. Mega Purple, tannin tablets, reverse osmosis, etc… Wierd science on the loose. Still, you kept your eyes on the ball. Bravo, GV.
QOTD: Maguelonne Toussaint-Samat and Herman Melville.

Gary – why do you rinse on the FIRST wine with a clean glass!!!!!!!
Ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate seeing good wine wasted! (See previous entreaty to have some poor schmucks – like me – there for the left-overs!)

700 to 1 !!!!!! Given your biz acumen I know you’re not mathematically challenged so I’m going to go with you’re prone to exageration. I bought one of the shirts with your mug on it so there’s the one BUT these things were supposed to be limited to a run of 140. Where does the 700 come from?

Agree on the video jumping, I know you don’t stutter so if you’re intent on pushing this swag like some insurance salesmen then post all the pictures without rotating them, there’s enough real estate on the page. (Note to insurance salesman: please substitute used-cars salesman; Note to used car salesmen: how do you sleep at night?). To boot when the video catches up to the sound you look downright manic (well more so than normal, anyway).

To break up the griping, I like the shirt. I favor button down collars, but for gosh sake button them!

Okay I’m in a persnickety mood today.

QOTD: My dad, gone 20+ years now, miss him (although he’d be drinking beer). But more realistically, you because as long as you show your puny butt on E44th, it’s gonna happen!

  • Another great episode, GV. Not a huge cab fan, personally â?? really just as a result of the price point â?? but it’s always interesting to see someone’s take on them.

Big shout out to Don. The next glass I raise, it’ll be to your health.

QOTD: I reckon Jesus would be a good one to share a glass with â?? and he could keep those libations flowing. Alternately, the good Dionysus â?? I can’t imagine a more fun drinking partner than a god.

QOTD: my brother who’s in chicago … good times are always had.

THANK YOU! I literally almost bought the Veeder Cab today for a friend b/c we had a great professer named Veeder in college. Seemed like a good enough reason. Now I’ll pass on that in-joke and just buy a good bottle for him.

QOTD – I’ll go with John Lennon. Either that or my unborn son or daughter. So that’s really neither living nor dead…just theoretical at this point.

Get well soon Don. I’d like to have wine with either Gary V, the Sideways bunch (Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church, because that’d just be funny to say i’d done it), or Sean Connery (the first James Bond, as long as he didn’t order a martini).

    Gary,
Great episode. Love the Cabs, but do drink a lot of other stuff, much of it introduced by YOU!!!
Big Shout out and best wished to Don, hope you get well soon. You will be in my prayers.
QOTD: Easy one: my mom. She passed away on 4/7/03 (the same day the ‘Cuse won the NCAA hoops title) and was the most important influence on my life. I miss her terribly, and not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. She was a great person, a veritable saint! She always stood by me, encouraged me, and forgave me when I did stupid things. And, she always told me that she loved me. Now, for the living person, dude, it’s YOU! Looking forward to sharing a glass of vino with you some day. I am sure we would have a good time!

QOTD- My mom, but she is too far away, so I’ll lift a glass of cabernet to her tonight. Cheers mom!

Too bad about the Mount Veeder.
I had a perfect evening last night tasting 5 Turley zins at my favorite restaurant (Ambrozia) with 8 friends (including husband). The chef was trying out dishes for his new restaurant. Can’t think of a better situation.
The dead person I’d like to share a bottle of wine with is P.J. Wodehouse. His books cheered me up a great deal in the past and he could probably use some cheering up after having been dead for 30 years.
Cheers and good health to Don.
