QOTD: more wines from lesser known regions of the world: Hungary, various U.S. states, Georgia, Corsica, etc. Also: port, port, port! Other than that, maybe post the show earlier in the day so i can watch it at work and post a comment earlier and win a shirt! keep up the good work though bro.

What you should change? Are you mad? NOTHING!!! Don’t even think about it again.

I really really enjoy the show as it is, but I also get excited when you do something a little different, like taste wine outside. Oh, and maybe I’m just new to the wine world, but maybe a show done at a wine store about tips for choosing a new wine would be a good idea. Are there definate ways to spot a terrible/awesome wine? For me, all the bottle start to look the same on the shelf, and before I know it, I’m picking out a wine because I like the design of the label! Horrible, I know. Anyway, keep up the Thunder! I watch the show because you are the way you are. 🙂

    Don’t change a thing.

I would like you to link more of your Bordeaux video and other wineries you visit. How about some video of your wine tastings at various cities you visit to expose more of the VCN (Vener Chuck Nation).

Q.O.D. – Please mention as oten as you can the cellaring potential for the wines you taste…maybe not every wine GV, but those that you like/rate 90 +…the shelf life with wines is really a neat component in my opinion….

Jock straps with grass hoppers and mouth wash, man what have you been up to lately? For Gods sake, don’t change anything, where else you can get a description like that. I also love the “AC” concept, “Excuse me madam, but you are AC”. Aromatic Challenged, Wow, what a concept. I hope Erica S was watching today, love to hear what she has to say about today’s show. I don’t care about top button, pipe smoking snot, we drink everything here without the attitude, from Beauzeaux to Screaming Eagle, bring on the mouthwatch and the chocolate cherries with the AC on the side.

  • Good “Psych” with the Beauzeau, I laughed myself out of my chair.

QOD: Start grooming AJ as your 2nd-in-command. Bring Jennifer Piper in to be your stand-in special-guest-taster. More on-location tastings. Go through and find more wines that contain grapes 99% of us have never heard of.

In short, more of the same, bro!

Q.O.D. – Also can you do another wristband video…

QOTD: Would love to see some shows that specialize on area. It might be very intersting to do a country, a region, or maybe a single vineyard. Also think a vertical tasting would be interesting. Any interst in sake?

    Hi Gary,
You mentioned once that China and India might produce good wines in the future. Are there any from those places that are worth tasting now? I tasted the Great Wall brand from China a year ago and it was purely mouthwash, as in Bv Beauzeaux.
QOTD: You are doing just dandy; stay the course!

Keep showing us new things, only so many Cab or Shiraz shows you can do.

QOTD: How about a show about actual winery experiences you’ve had in Napa. Some wineries are fun to visit and have great tours, etc, while others are lackluster. How about some thoughts on where to visit when vayniacs go out there.

By the way, never change. Some people hate certain entertainers or tv/radio personalities and like to complain about what they say or do. My view is don’t watch if you don’t like what you’re seeing. There are so many choices today it only makes sense. However, maybe it would be funny for you to come out in a camel colored sportcoat while wearing an ascot, and do a spoof show where you try to sound stuffy and important. Just give me credit for the idea if you do it!!!!

  • NathanN

I love it when you introduce a new grape or region. WLTV keeps expanding my wine world.

QOTD: Guests are great but Dick V. will be tough to beet. How about answering questions from ask WLTV. I miss that on Fridays. I think you should also do a show featuring all the Photos that Kahuna has posted. Ha Ha

QOTD: (1) Glassware. Taste the same wine from different shapes/styles of wine glasses…
    (2) Vertical tastings.
    (3) Israeli wines, but not necessarily kosher and not the stuff that is exported in big quantities. I’m talking Castel Grand Vin, Clos de Gat, Yatir, Ella Valley, etc. If you want me to draw up a list for you, feel free to drop me a line.

Weird wines are never anything to apologize for. Maybe the Monarchia Noir would have gone over better? I remember it as being really nice for the price.

QOD: drinking windows! Provided the wine doesn’t suck, is it better now or later, how much later, what’s it likely to turn into, that sort of thing. Other than that, do your thing. Oh, and cheap Bordeaux, can’t never have enough of that.

  • geespot

Location shoots! Take us with you on some excursions out of the ‘studio’, wine related of course. Even if you’re doing the same show in a different place, it’d be nice to give us something different to look at. Not that we don’t love the beige wall in the office or anything. More food and wine pairings, bust out some more of your cheeses for sure. All that said, I still love the show and continue to watch every episode while this all continues to BLOW UP!

Great show! QOTD- More ” Wines of the Weird”, like the varietals that were in this show, also I like learning about solid, well made, bargin wines, and maybe more food pairing ideas when you find a good wine on the show.

  • QOTD: Port and Sherry with Stilton.
Okay, okay, you did the Broadbent 2000 with Roquefort, I think, but this is different, right? 🙂

  • QOTD: Cellaring potential and/or drinking windows of wines tasted. Or an episode on the subject.

  • In regards to the question of the day. I would love to see Gary go out with a microphone and hang out on the floor of Wine Library and talk to customers, recommend wines and interact with other colleagues. Another idea, perhaps an Italian Red Table Wine show with pasta, sauce, meatballs and sausage. A BBQ episode would be great as well (Smoked Pulled Pork, Smoked Brisket, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, etc). Keep going Gary, what you are doing is channeling electricity with a comb and a finger ala Ben Franklin.

Thanks for rolling the dice with those wild cards. QOTD let’s get Gary to some big Wineries. I really enjoyed the Bordeaux episode, when you were trying the wine on the spot.

What a great mix of grapes to try, doesn’t get any better then this.
Zweigelt is now on my list of grape wines to try as for the others shown today.
What’s next Gary! Let me think OH how about trying a Saperavi or the Sereksiya grape that would be awesome.

QOTD: I’ll say this one time and one time only, DO NOT CHANGE A THING WITH THE SHOWS..
I’ll say this one time and one time only, never button that top button.

Relax, enjoy the tasting be yourself as we enjoy you, that’s what makes the show..
