Too bad about the wines this time around. . . . . !

Have had the Casa in the past and sometimes it ROCKS, and sometimes it blows, so i somewhat agree with you on that review. And yes, it’s really Bordeaux like in style no question about it!

I ran the gauntlet of web sites this afternoon. What a kick! Keep the whimsy coming, WLTV.

  • Gary,
Love the vino-knowledge episodes…I was going to throw a tasting at my place with the same theme as today’s show, i.e., grape variety x from around the world.

    Cheers!

Big ups to Gary on the wild website chase on Friday. Hilarious, even if you don’t really have the time for it. Not sure I understand the point of trying to post in the top 5 without actually having a comment, but if someone could please fill me in…

What’s the thing about trying to be one of the first 10 or so to leave a comment?

Good episode despite the oh-fer. This educational stuff is a great idea, as is posting the vods before 4:30 so we can watch earlier (and I can watch it before going home;) )
QOTD – not mentioning someone in Friday’s episode.
PS…Major thanks for taping an additional four episodes for us!

Way to go GV, don’t listen to the naysayers. You can’t please ’em all. Keep on changing the Wine World.

  • QOTD: …No letdowns here. The last couple of weeks have been really good for me.

Tough luck on the lackluster cabs, GV. Too bad you can’t get a hold of any Oklahoma wines, because I know one winery that actually has a pretty good cab for a fraction of the cost of these four.

Top 37! Looking forward to the episode.

Gary……..I really enjoyed the concept of today’s show. Too bad all the players were minor leaguers. Please try again with other varietals, SB, Chard, Merlot, Pinot Noir, etc.

    Thanks for a great experience.

dude, where is the bordeaux? cab tasting sans bordeaux, it is like a pizza cook off and forgetting napoli. a 2001 clos de marquis would have fit the bill with price and all.

QOTD: i know art does not get talked much about on this show, but the Sculptur Projekte ’07 in Munster was a big let down. every 10 years and it was ScheiÃ?e over all.
After that, the 2004 mercury we drank for dinner tonight. real bad!

QOTD: 1985 Heitz Martha Vineyard Cabernet. Thought it would kick some serious butt, but it just didn’t quite make it. Probably, five years ago would have been a homerun.

Sassodoro, if you post in the top 10 the most over a year, Gary sends you a cool prize.

    Good show! Thanks

QOTD- The Transformers movie. Was REALLY looking forward to this as I spent many hours of my youth watching the show. Barely even any Decepticons until the last 20 minutes. Should have know it would poop the bed when I saw Michael was directing.

I usually love Leeuwin estates, their 1998 was tremendous so I’ll have to pop the 2001 that I have and see how our palates match up.
QOTD – Transformers…..all the way, I don’t know what it was but I was expecting more and less out of a lot of parts in that show.
No letdown in the show, you have hit your stride, your like Joe Dimagio on the 19 game of his hit streak….so much more to go 🙂

Top 999? Nice show, I do like these educational ones (not all the time though, we need Friday’s versions as well!).

Spot on with the e-mail comments, there’s no point toning down your opinions just in case you may hurt some ones feelings or some distributor’s favoured status, the “Viewer” can say they disagree with you, and they’re free to ignore you, but they definately shouldn’t be criticising you nor making indirect bullying threats – that’s just arrogant.

Hungary – you lucky b@$+@&d! Wish I was going too, careful though, it’s topping 40C over there at the moment, make sure you have sunscreen.

QOTD – Recent letdowns, a workmate, good friend and valuable team member just quit, less than a month after another good friend and equally valuable workmate. 2 down in the department and the next few months look like they’ll be hard. Otherwise OK.

Great ep. Tell it like it is! Love the honesty. Of course, opinions differ. Trust your own palate, a principle not too difficult to understand.
BTW, Mollydooker was lucky to have you review their efforts.
