I don’t eat foie gras. Rather grim production methods, shall we say.

What…no update on the Cali trip with TimF????? 🙁
For some reason I always thought Chris Mott was a 19 year old…
I guess if you can spit Petrus, you can spit Fois Gras 😉
QOTD – Hmmmm probably something from Ridge but I don’t drink that many…thanks for the kick in the ass!

Hey Gary. Good Zin episode. I got a bottle of Dancing Bull in a White Elephant gift exchange one year — bluch — didn’t like at all. I have had earlier vintages of the Hartford and enjoyed them. I have never had Peachy Canyon, but will check it out. QOTD: I like the Captain’s Reserve and Phelps Zinfandels. We like Zinfandels — nice to hear it’s on the upswing again. …. Please let us know how the TimF/Napa trip went …. rumors that potential WLTV introductions were filmed ……

QOTD- Year in & out, I always enjoy Lytton Springs. How many Zins? A whole lot, I had a big Zin phase a few years back.

Made me hungry, I’ll go home and have some wine

    Thanks

I’m a huge fan of Zins-the most popular wine in my cellar. I love Ridge and Rosenblum zins. My favorite is probably 1996 Lytton springs zin. I’m afraid to think how many zins I’ve drank!

QOTD: I dont even know how to count how many I have had over my lifetime, 50?
My all time favorite (to date): Happened to be on your recommendation from the show, Four Vines Dusi Ranch Zin – 2004.

Also need to tryt more zins, I have only had a few including the rancho one, which I thought was just ok.

LOTS o Zins have passed through my filtration system. Love them! Fave probably Ridge Lytton Springs, Ridge Geyserville (both in good years) and back in the day the late 90’s St. Francis Old Vine. St. Francis has lost their touch IMHO. Adore the jammy preserve-like style well made Zins.

  • Jeffrey

Mott, the next time Gary makes a comment that a Red Sox player “brings the thunder” like that, dump the spit bucket over his head.
