Thanks for the education Gary… I knew NOTHING about the Jets when I started watching WLTV… I’m learning new stuff every day! Question though… I’ve heard them and caught glimpses – what’s with the birds? Who do they belong to and why do you have sooo many?

Oh, and I love Aussie Shiraz… I digg old world classic wine, but new world “bling bling” can rock the house too! good choice for a show topic! I really want to try the wine #2 with the “candy shop element” – sounds great!

QOTD: Gary – you are UNPREDICTABLE… no idea what’s coming, but i’m on the edge of my seat! I might actually watch TONIGHT instead of tomorrow morning like I usually do!

I am currently basementing 2 of the three you tasted, unfortunately neither is the Octavius. I’ve only spent >$70 on a non-restaurant bottle once or twice. I’ve got 2 kids to put through college.

QOTD- I don’t know but it’s gonna have to be pretty huge to live up to the hype and build up, if it’s a “psych” I will not be pleased at all.

No big deal that you goofed on the sherry. Everybody makes mistakes, even experts, and it’s clear that you know your subject through and through. I like that you combine education with entertainment and shooting from the hip — you have the right perspective on it.

What the hey!!!!???? I was going to post last nights show seeing so few postings… and low and behold a all new ep!! Much to my delight.

love the oracle as well as the Octavius. I bought 2 cases of the oracle for CHEAP and drink it fairly frequently. well worth the $$

also, anyone interested in shiraz, get yourself a bottle of the 2004 apricot block by greenock creek. simply amazing! actually anything from greenock creek or their main winemaker chris ringland are exceptional. as is Amon Ra. all of which, in my opinion, trounce penfolds grange…

Not sure if there was a mix up but the Kilikanoon wine you tasted on the show was the R Reserve (96 pts RP & $88) while the link listed is for the Oracle (98pts RP & $52).

Love the blind tasting…need more of that.

Agree with Tim – blind tastings are great. I want to see you get more specific next time. Guessing the varietal, origin, age, etc… Let’s put that sniffy-sniff to a real test.

Twofer one’s are sweet. I liked the blind tasting but especially liked seeing all the Jets memorabilia in the hallway. Living on the west coast now I miss all the die-hard east coast sports fans.

QOTD: I keep thinking it’s got to be a TV deal with Food Network or something, but how would you have know about that 200+ days ago? Is your wife having a kid? Would be exciting, but not as much for the Vayniac Nation… I CAN’T FIGURE IT OUT. HURRY UP AND ANNOUNCE IT ALREADY!!!!

Great shows! I hope that the announcement happens soon. I am going up to the cabin tonight and will be without internet service until Tuesday next week. I really really don’t want to wait that long!!!!
