Two bummer chardonnays. If you give a wine a Pazzz with 7 or so z’s I doubt I am going to try it unless someone who hasn’t watched the show brings it over to my house. Same with Parker, WS, WE, ST, etc. Too bad, but if one has a limited budget for wine, they want to at least get even odds the stuff’s worth trying.

QOTD: I just discovered hybrid irons. You can’t hit the golf ball crooked. Unless you’re say a 2 handicap, these things are awesome.

QOD: favorite latest discovery was on the historical tip.. one of my hobbies as it were.

It would take a long time to explain, but lets just say my mind was blown wide open while at the same time confirming my own opinion. Showed me a whole new perspective on the topic. Gotta love the process of discovery!

Shoulders in a bottle trap sediment when you gently pour the wine out. They are not a marketing gimmick. If you are going to age a red wine long enough for sediment to develop, then yes, bottles with shoulders are better. Pop open a bottle of pre-1990 Bordeaux and shine a light through the shoulder section of the bottle while you pour a glass.
