  • Another good ep. Gary! I think that there’s usually enough data available on the internet for scores. It’s the LIVE video of your tasting notes that can really help put the puzzle pieces together if that makes sense lol. Thanks Anti for creating that forum! That’ll help things be more organized… I think 😉

QOTD: Trinity Oaks Zin (bluck-seemed watered down), went two days later and picked up a Gnarly Heads Zin (much much better)

    Gary,

Charlie Frye to the Seahawks, not that it really matters to my Browns.

    Brady, Brady, Brady, Brady!

Love the value picks, I will have to pick a few up. Try the XS red, cab for 8 bones. Its a good value.

Thanks for doing the value wines. Looking forward to trying that Shingleback. REALLY don’t like the A to Z Pinot Noir, but maybe I’ll try the Pino Gris.

QOTD: Cave de Saumur Champigny & Nobilo Sauv. Blanc.

The under 13.00 episodes are great. We need more of them after this week.

    QOTD:
Finca El Retiro Reserva Especial 2004 Malbec – Mendoza — OK

Bodega Septima 2005 Malbec – Mendoza — Great for 9.00 – One of my favorites.

  • Bigsigar

QOTD: Susana Balbo Malbec and the Innocent Bystander
Very tasty. But both bottles “evaporated” very quickly when I was alone with them. Wierd.

Wow, really happy you discovered two good whites under 15 bones.

QOTD: Too bad you weren’t asking what are the last six wines you tried. The last two are a 2004 Twenty Rows Cabernet and a 2003 Jacobs Creek Reserve Shiraz.

Okay I’ll let you in on the last six. Did a vertical of Gaia blends, 1999 through 2002. And GW, just so you know, the 2002 had a screw top.

GV, thanks for tasting the Bogle PN. Bummed you dissed it. I have noticed a good amount of bottle variation amongst the Bogle PNs I have had. You picked a loser bottle….

QOTD: 2005 Bogle PN (Friday with salmon; not as good as others, B TW) and a 2000 Miguel Torres (Spain) Cabernet Sauvignon.
