GV- I have been out of pocket lately and have missed WAY too much WLTV. I need to catch up somehow. But now that my health seems to be ok and the fall is here I think things are ok.

QOTD: I always told you about how I was a CKC from Boston, but now I’m a grad who moved to LA to pursue TV production… and I’m taking a break from that to act…like everyone else in this town. And, just like every other young actor in LA, I work in restaurants at night- two- and one is a critically acclaimed fine dining / wine bar called “Bin 8945” where I’m trying to learn as much as possible from the sommelier and owner while I work my way up there.

Do you known why the arrowhead was bottled in a burgundy bottle, rather than a bordeaux bottle. since I grew up with the bottle sort of indicating style, they mean something to me.

QOTD: I’m a website creator. In fact, I just start a new wine and food blog at http://www.DrinksAreOnMe.net.

I enjoy an occassional Zinfandel. I have lesser priced RavensWood wine and enjoyed them. I think Joel Gott and Rosenblum make a fairly decent inexpensive Zin.

QOTD: I watch Wine Library TV when I’m not at the gym or working. Ok, ocassionally at work when we’re slow. I enjoy gourmet cooking and bike riding. . I am an office manager/assistant and Life/Health Insurance Broker for a financial planner in Florham Park. I enjoy browsing WL when I can in Springfield. I’m a mother of 3 adults (1 set of identical girl twins, age 25 and boy 29)and grandma to be.

I’m a HUGE lurker but sing the song of Gary to all that will listen. I wore my WL wristband to the beach all summer.

Ravenswood Old Vine Zin is a great entry level wine for the CKC crowd (around 13 US bones).

QOTD: I do too much! 2 jobs (both good), and I pick up side jobs almost weekly.

zin….. only had one from western australia cape mentelle…… quite smooth, but didn’t leave too great impression on me so never tried it again and also not many growers produce zins in aust……

I am a computer programmer for a small startup that just went under last week. I am in a fruit bomb mood, so I will have to seek out the ArrowHead.

After I got laid off (sp?), I pressed 600 lbs of muscadine grapes that had finished the primary fermentation, made 48 gallons of black colored wine. My hands are black now, as in black as coal. Even my fingernails are black. This wine is gonna be tannic!

QOTD: Im finishing up school at Texas A&M University. I also run a bar/live music venue as well.

QOTD: I am a copywriter. That means I write polished nonsense about products and services that nobody wants or needs. But it’s cool. I do lots of other stuff, too. Don’t weep for me.

QOTD: Up until 6 months ago I was a Wine Consultant and Salesman in Northern Wisconsin. Now I am a stay at home dad enjoying some fantastic one on one time with my 2 children. I also do a little private wine consulting on the side.

Great show, Gary! Since I don’t eat a lot of steak, American Zinfandels tend to be a bit too big and alcoholic for me. I find that Italian Primitivos taste very similar, but are scaled more in keeping with the food I like to eat.

Love Zinfandel. I’ll have to try the Ravenswood Old Hill. I have had other Ravenswood, with steak, at Morton’s. Very yummy combo.

QOTD: By day, work at a video game company developing Arcade/Coin-op games. I do art and technical work (some light programming in various languages). By night and weekends, I am a happy family man who loves to spend time with my 2 wonderful kids and wife. We enjoy cooking and eating fine foods and traveling whenever we can. I also make wine (recently bottled some Zinfandel actually) and enjoy biking, surfing and skiing in between working on our house in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Keeping life good.
