  • I’ve got a bottle of the 2000 Selvapiana Chianti Rufina in my cellar. I’m going to have to bust that thing open.

QOTD: It’s all I can do to find time to watch this show every day – only show I watch on the internet, so it’s my favorite.

Thanks for the great show, Gary. I like Chianti’s quite a bit, but my wife usually doesn’t like them, saying they’re too thin and not structured enough – will have to check out the last wine to see if I can change her mind.

QOTD- I only bother to watch WLTV.

Great episode. I drink the Ruffino gold label Chianti instead of the tan label, and you justified it to the “T”. QOTD – I listen to shows on the ‘net via streaming. WLTV is the only one I watch. Even if I watched other shows on the internet you’d still be number one. Thanks.

Chianti Classico’s (Gallo Nero and all) were among the first real wines I was introduced to over 20 years ago and they served to get me into the world of wine. Of course, affordability was a whole other matter back then, and you could get really good chiantis at a reasonable price. I will agree that nowadays it is harder to find really good bottles that are reasonable, but when you find a good one it is most enjoyable.

    Go Giants!

I just had two bottles of Selvapiana delivered from Wine Library yesterday. Can’t wait to open one this weekend.

    I only watch WLTV.

    Bob.

Another great episode, Gary. Thank you for exposing Ruffino Tan Label for what it is. Ruffino can and does make some quality wines but that one I’ve never been a big fan of, despite its popularity. QOTD – Besides WLTV (the ONLY show I watch daily!), I sometimes listen to kuvo.org, Denver’s listener supported Jazz station. Check it out.

Other than WLTV, which has totally changed my relationship with wine, I would say its Talking Points Memo (http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/)

Thanks for the effort and keep up the great, not good but GREAT, work on WLTV. Ever think about a road show? You could write a book!

Great show Gary. Question for you though. If Ruffino is so sub par, why do you sell it in your store? Would you not be giving your customers more value by moving those Ruffino sales to another better quality Chianti and stop feeding the Crappy Wine Monster that is Ruffino? Just a question.
