Finally, Some sanity and sanctity has come to this otherwise ridiculous show hosted by that daft fellow Gary who persists in wasting precious time on so much guff as “Thundercats” and that atrocious “American football”. Sir Vaynerchuk is truly a voice of authority and shows the proper respect deserved of so noble a beverage as wine.

As to your “Question of the day” dear Sir, simply, I am googled as to the reason for my persisting with this confounded show. Ta.

Thanks for bringing Sir Gary for us once again. He helped me answer you question of the day; he is what sucks about wine and why I watch the show. I have a lot of fun tasting/drinking wine but most wine people as so serious. I don’t want someone telling me what I can afford and what I should like, let me make the choice for myself. That is what WLTV is all about for me. Exposing me to more wine to try. If it weren’t for WLTV I would not have discovered Amarone, big ups!

QOTD: I watch the show b/c it’s fun and makes wine drinking/tasting fun! Sir Gary is funny and all, but the stuffy high browed arrogance of wine connoisseurs can be intimidating and down right boring. Keep keepin it real Gary!

QOTD: Where can I find LOL’s like “…..would make my father throw up in disgust” “…not because it’s tremendous but because I told you so” and “..not soiling your pants but the soil you put in the ground.” Oh, Gary Vaynerchuk, you are the best thing on the Internet and we Vayniacs worship at your feet!! “…no matter what your palate says, it’s wrong!” :)Thanks, Gracias, Merci Dakujem!

Nice send-up. It also appears that Sir Gary is as enthralled with the “aromatic inspection of olfactory essence” as his less reserved counterpart. Thanks for keeping it entertaining and reminding us to diversify a bit.

PS – Can I form a new “state” within the borders of Washington which you can ship-to?

Last night, as the trick-or-treaters came to the door, we sipped sancerre for the first time. I paired it with a classic french leek & potato soup, which was awesome, and then we enjoyed another glass on its own. Wonderful. I’m glad we tried it! I think there’s a new white wine about to make a more regular appearance on our cellar shelves. 🙂

  • Sir Gary Sniffysniff, the Earl of Condescension! He’s like Evil Spock. http://www.veqlargh.com/veqlargh/images/spock2.jpg

I watch for the fun and excitement of the wine, and the education is good too. And I love the see-through spitoon. That should become a regular feature. Didn’t realize Sir GV spits in such high volume.

The crap that we call football, is that a reference to the NY Jets, that are talked about often on this show. Or the one team worse then the Jets (Miami), that was sent to England last week because they are so are so bad.

I say, what an outstanding episode, indubitably concise and clear. Sir Vaynerchuk endeavours to espouse the virtues of historic wines to the uneducated masses (peasants the lot of them), I heartily applaud such sentiments, though I doubt it’s efficacy…

QOTD – Because the VaynerMeisterâ?¢ has the cohones to be what he likes to be most of the time, yet the wit and self-confidence to come out with his alter-egos (such as you) to add a little spice to the show.

Ah Sir Gary, thank you from the bottom of my heart for wrestling control of the show today and effectively elucidating the bottles that you’ve chosen from Sancerre. Verily Sir, you have taught me an infinite amount about your palette, which I appreciate!

QOTD:I watch WLTV because it’s an awesome show that has taught me so much about the wine world and has showed me new things to try. Some that I’ve liked (Albarino, Tempranillo) and others I wasn’t too impressed with (Pinotage).

  • I think this idea of alter ego was a bit – “over the top.” Sir GV was absurd and demeaning. I like Gary V so much better. I think I used to have a crush on him. . . QOTD – I watch WLTV because reminds me to be more receptive in my own tastings. It is continuously a mind opening, palate broadening, thought provoking, and smile invoking experience.

    Wear that Sir Vaynerchuk.
