QOTD: (1) You KNOW that some chesses are inferior to others, and this is the case with many “American” sliced cheese that is commonly placed on burgers. HOWEVER, if a quality pepper jack, cheddar, or even gorgonzola (if the burger is topped with arugula–try it!), then the answer is most definitely
CHEESE!
(2) Unfortunately Aquaman was before my time, and I only have heard of him through episodes of Seinfeld and Entourage. He might be a kick-ass superhero, but I can’t attest to that.

Months and months ago, when you asked who’s your favorite super hero, my answer was: AQUAMAN! Yes, he’s my buddy of all times. Cheese YEAH!! Swiss, cheddar sharp, cheddar mild, blue, mozzarella, Edam, Gouda, and every different kinds of cheeses on my burger. That is TODAY’s lunch menu!! Sunny day in Panama City, good for bbq!

QOTD: If I get a burger from a fast food joint I like it with cheese, but if I make a burger fresh on the grille I like it with no cheese…I know…I am weird.

Cheese, always cheese but it depends on the burger as to what type (chedder, swiss, provolone, pepper jack)

First I want to ask how they made a rose out of chennin blanc out there in Texas…it is a white grape. Second I wanted to say that it is great to see what different states are turning out as far as wine…

It’s ok if Texas didn’t have the best showing today, especially since we kick a$$ in so many other areas (like food!) haha. Seriously though, Becker Vineyards and also Messina Hoff have some great wines. If you decide to try and redeem Texas, I would seek out a wine from one of those vineyards. But thanks for representing Texas anyways!

GV, so glad to see you in good spirits…was an excellent episode and I loved that you tried the Barolo again! And you say that Colbert’s got nothin’ on you, but I insist again that you should book yourself to do a tasting with him on his show! It would be a battle of the egos!!!!!!! Not to mention that it’d be hilarious and he’s a wicked nice and down to earth guy (that is, when he’s not in character)!

Something I DO have an opinion on…Jets are going DOWN this weekend. They’re going to get owned on…we’re mad from last week…the skins are going to bring down the pain! (or so I really hope) no stinky skins but we do have the jerky jets!

I liked at the end how you tasted a wine that’s been open for a while. I tend to open wines and I don’t get a chance to revisit them for a few days and I’ve always wondered how long they’ll stay good for so I really appreciate you doing that for us.
