I think there is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle under the football. As for the question of the day: I think the contest should be who can get the law passed that Tennessee residents can have wine shipped to them via mail the fastest?

QOTD: I like the iPhone giveaway, but, at the risk of being boring or redundant. I think the next contest should be the same. The idea of co-hosting the show is a great experience. Just visiting the store is fun, in itself. The opportunity to hang out with Gary, Sasha, Mott and other WL staff is a trip. To sit next to Gary and try to find Skittles in a bottle is classic.

Gary…thanks for keeping the show so fun, informative, entertaining, and a “can’t miss” part of my day.

How about a contest of who can make the most posts to cork’d? Or perhaps to qualify for a drawing, you’d got to make at least 10 posts to cork’d?

That would drive traffic to the site and your IT guys should be able to give you a list of names of those with the required number of posts.

How about you visiting the winner at his favorite wine hangout and sampling some vino (or better yet you and the winner fly out to Napa (or Sonoma or whereever) and sampling some of the fare at his favorite winery.

Okay, Gary-

First of all, thanks for reminding us of Valpolicellas, a wine I’ve totally neglected. One of the reasons I value your show is that you constantly remind of the great, big, wonderful wine world that awaits us.

Under the football? Hmmm. New wristband sounds like a pretty good guess. I’ll have to go with that.

New contest: I like the idea of some sort of drawing, where everyone has an equal chance. Or you could do a hybrid, where you have one of those “25 words or less” contests for people to qualify, and then draw from the best responses. The prize? Oh, hell I’m greedy. Let’s say accompanying you on a wine-buying to Europe. Maybe a little unrealistic. How about a dinner for two with you at a top restaurant that has a great wine list.

next contest should be like the publishers clearing house. have a drawing from the people that post in the forums or that leave replies to the show(maybe have the QOTD your address (if that’s legal)) and then suprise them and show up at their house and film an episode of wltv live from their house or work.
