Haven't had any Valpolicella's by those wineries, I do have an '01 La Poja from Allegrini that I hear is supposed to be really good

Next contest… how about the most oddly descriptive tasting notes… something further out there than dirty sweat socks. And as a prize, I think a tour (and tasting) of some of the cellars from yesterday’s episode with you, Jay, Sasha and Mott would be awesome.
Under the football, I’m guessing a cork.

Awesome Gary, Next contest, You, Me, Leer Jet to any vineyard in the world. Best Wine, Food , Friends, that would be a blast!

QOTD: Although I do like the current show format (I like Gary’s enthusiasm), since the subject has come up, perhaps the contest should involve creating some sort of new intro to the show. It would be fun to see what comes in. I like Barbara’s WLTV show scavenger hunt as well.

The next contest could be for the ability to choose a featured wine for WL. Goes on the homepage and is prominently displayed in the store.

Congrats to the Canadian winner… Next contest could be about sending in a little video where you describe the oddest wine experience that you’ve had (could be positive or negative)…or just put together something highlighting what wine means to you…

QOTD: How about a prize like joining Gary at the 2007 futures barrel tasting in Washington DC? That’s kind of a once-in-a-lifetime thing for most of us Vaniacs.

Under the football? A cork maybe?

QOTD: A contest based on comments will flush out the lurkers…like it did last time. I wouldn’t mind the contest having something to do with writing about wine. Or maybe just putting together the best WLTV parody (video).

  • Love the lunch box GV! Pour out a little wine for time, family, and friends.

Who doesnâ??t love a good 49 cent wine?!?! WOW, 63 pointsâ?¦brining the noise!

Next contestâ?¦ Iâ??m a big proponent of the â??wine experienceâ?. Wine is so much more than just fermented grape juice. How you react to a wine is all about where you are and who your with. So, I propose a â??wine experienceâ? contest where viewers are asked to describe the best experience theyâ??ve ever had at a winery (anywhere in the U.S.). Blog about it, mentioning the Wine Library TV contest (no major widgets or banner ads necessary), and the winner goes with Gary to the winery and films an episode of Wine Library TV. It would be a great experience for the winner and great promotion for the winery.

So the QOTD was “what should the next WLTV contest be?”, I think. I suggest a creative writing assignment, a theme if you will (like that will EVER happen when a guy who terms himself “not the biggest education man” is involved!). Think of your sister, dude. She could grade them! Yes, I can hear the huge groundswell of support from the Vayniacs……anyone? anyone? Buehler?
