The next contest should be a “name those flavors” contest. We taste, you taste. We predict what you’d say about the wine, what flavors it has, what’s on the nose, etc. Whoever comes closest, wins.

Prizes should be
a) $1000 shopping spree at Wine Library
or
b) you fly out to do a tasting for us and 12 friends.

Lots of good suggestions for contests and prizes already. I like a WL shopping spree, you flying out for a tasting, and dinner with your dad (okay, I guess you can come, too)! I’m so bummed that I lost this contest as I was looking forward to you paying my airfare from Turkey on a couple of days’ notice!

For your next contest…..how about….Having a kind of “American Idol” contest…only not have it be exclusive to America…..so this contest is a search for the best amateur wine taster/afficionado/critic…..i.e. amateur Gary Vaynerchuk wannabes …the contestants could send videos displaying their “talent” Let the search begin…..Naples Kathy

Next contest… Prize: (that’s most important right?) a case of wine that YOU choose for a tasting party with my friends. How about, you draw out 4 names – each person gets to submit a wine that they think you will love (put a price limit on it.) Do a taste off, and the wine you like the best wins the prize.

Thanks for the episode, I dont think I’ve had a valpolicella in a couple years, it will be on my list. QOTD: I guess I’m fairly unoriginal, but I really like the idea of cohost occasionally.

qotd: create a 2 min commercial for the wltv show. Include “typical Gary” moments and funny skits aimed at wine lovers but bringing other viewers that may not have normally downloaded this type of podcast.
