QOTD: I am taking the tortilla (Spanish omelet not the thing from Mexico)I made this afternoon to a Christmas party. Were I hope they have some decent wine.

FELICES FIESTAS VAYNIACS!

Sitting around tonight with my wife watching a big snowstorm and drinking some non-vintage Billecart Salmon Rose and munching on Cornish Game Hens. You reviewed Le Reve Merlot back last year and I wonder if it is ready to drink yet as I have had the 2003 put away for a while now. The Merlot episode even though none of them sounded like wines I would like gets me in the move.

QOTD: Well last night I was waiting in the Milwaukee airport for 6 hours for my plane to Boston and then when we finally got going we had to wait for Boston to plow the runways. However, I did get home and got to see what’s in the Xmas 4 Pack!!!!! I’m SUPER pumped- I can’t wait to try those wines!!

Ahhhh merlot. It’s amazing how much of an impact Sideways has made on merlot sales. I was always a pinot noir drinker, but didn’t know much about merlot. I’m glad that you’re covering some here, but these are out of my price range. I always keep an eye out for reviews (here and elsewhere) of >$20 bottles.

QOTD: I am trying to ward off a cold, so tonight (now last night) I am getting in the bed early.
