  • Thanks for keeping up on the videos through the holiday week.

Looking forward to both the “Mott, Link it up!” t-shirt and the third edition of the wristband.

QOTD – Yes and Yes. Like to compare them to what is coming out of Washington. The new world Riesling’s are finally getting just a hint of the diesel that I like.

QOTD: Yes many more than two! My best friend and Ithought we were suave by going to the local wine and cheese shop with an older friend and getting reisling for our dates to every high school dance, after having some at a party. That was wow 5 years ago now! errr mebee 25. I have in the last few years aquired a renewed appreciation. We will laugh about it over dinner tonight with Selvapiana Bucerchiale Chianti Classico Riserva 2003.

QOTD: yes, yes, but only at a wine tasting 5 years ago which was specifically a German Riesling tasting. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Tim Vining

QOTD: No and No, but my excuse is that I am still very new to wine tasting. Will try the Black Wing Shiraz as Shiraz is a wine I have just discovered and I found an amazing French bottle (2005 Patriarche) for $9.95 in Canada. Didn’t think I would like Shiraz but one never knows until one tries it…

Hey, who else out there wants Gary to put up a QPR of the week for ordering on free.winelibrary.com?

QOTD: Yes and yes but not for a long time.

I’ve had the Black Wing and thought that it paled in comparison to the Thorn Clarke Terra Barossa Shiraz at $9.99.

We demand a “Mott, link it up” t-shirt.

QOTD: Part 1: Had my 1st German Riesling at our company Thanksgiving lunch this year. I brought in a cheap supermarket one.
Part 2: no. It’s on my “to drink” list for 2008.

  • BelgianBeerMistress

Yes and yes! I hosted a German Riesling wine tasting last year, and luckily all four participants brought different producers and ripeness levels. Then, to top it off, we had a bottle of Bonny Doon’s Pacific Rim Riesling to compare – totally fell flat! The real McCoy’s were tons better. I forget which ones we had- I’ll have to dig out my tasting notes…
