    Gary,

    I like you thoughts!

QOTD: I guess I would have to go with an Australian Shiraz for my any given night type of wine! Or maybe something Argentinian or Spanish…

Gary, Thanks for the focus on QPR wines. Lots of little gems outside the USA.

QOTD: By far, Cote du Rhone. As you know $9-$12 US buys you some serious stuff. I have long forgotten that Aussie and Cali fruit bomb crap!

QOTD: Don’t have a “house wine” due to being afflicted with W.A.D.D. (wine attention deficit disorder. NC would be fine, but Atlanta would outrageous!

  • Hey Gary,

I have only recently become a Vaynerchuck fan. I was introduced to the thunder show @ thanksgiving of 2007 and have now subscribed to the ipod video cast. I don’t have a good nose – in fact, my wife would tell you I don’t possess the sense of smell, but you are amazingly entertaining and I LOVE wine. I will be watching daily henceforth.

    Thank you for you efforts

Woah! Definitely come to NC. Penney and I will drive up there and party with you. What did you have in mind: Charlotte? Raleigh?

QOTD: I really don’t feel like we have a go-to wine. We hardly ever buy more than one bottle of the same thing. Even broken down by varietal, I’m not drinking more than three of the same thing in a month. And I have you to thank for all of this diversity!

Gary – Thanks for the lesson on the blending of vintages. Seriously, it’s awesome to learn about wine and this was something I hadn’t a clue on. Now I do. Very cool.

QOTD – Although, I’m trying to stay clear of having those go-to wines and cases around the place and keep a more diverse bunch, I’d have to say that Simi and Joel Gott have always been kinda the ones I lean on when I don’t want to pop those special ones. But, your right, there’s plenty of others that are even less expesive (not cheaper) than those. I’m currently on a big Spain kick for those.

  • CW

I live in Georgia, but would come to NC for a Gary love-in.

    QOTD: Ore Pinots

  • Achilles Mike

QOTD I like a smooth Zin to relax with or s simple Rhone.

no everyday wine for me. in fact, i don’t even ever buy the same bottle twice. i might go back to the same wine with a different vintage but never the exact one that i’ve already consumed. life’s short and there’s just too many wines out there to try!

I go through stages, but right now it is the Cline Zinfandel 2006. Until I could not get it anymore it was the Guenoc 2004 Cab.

I am looking forward to my latest wine library shipment coming so I can see if the Leocadie Les Clauses. Based on your show it sounds very much like it could be come my new old faithful.

In general I am like everyone else and like to try a variety of wines.

Nice episode. What’s the confidence interval on that 98.6% statistic?

Should I buy this wine collection?

There is an 82 Pauillac Latour (excellent condition, perfect label, high neck fill) RP 100 pts

No everyday wine here either but if I’m looking for something inexpensive to go with dinner, it usually ends up being a Zin, Cab, or Bordeaux blend. For those that do stock up, the best everyday wine I’ve found is the Folie A Deux Menage A Trois Red. Goody Goody in Dallas sells it for $7.93. I agree with another poster that Cylces Gladiator Cab ain’t bad either.
