So sorry about the loss of a family friend….In response to your question, I just received a video iPod for Christmas and I miss new WLTV episodes being uploaded to iTunes! (I thought I’d done something wrong when I subscribed as I hadn’t seen anything this week – Now I know why).

Once again condolences, and look forward to you, with a bit of me changing the wine world again!! You’re tops.

QOTD: I certainly do miss the Thunder Show (TM) a lot!!! But I also understand why there are no shows and my sympathy to you and your families on your loss. Missing WLTV allowed me to catch up (finally) on all of the backlog of episodes that I was working on (good) but now I have nothing to do at lunch (bad) and/or I get to bed at a reasonable hour (good?). 😉

Life does have a way of throwing curve-balls now and again. Sorry you didn’t get the chance to tape some episodes for all of us Vayniacs, but the lack of new shows just lets me appreciate how much I really look forward to watching every day! Nothing like going without to let that lesson sink in.

I’ve found that I really miss your voice shouting to me fro the computer each day! Feels like I’ve forgotten to do something important unless I’ve heard: “Hello everybody, this is Gary Vay-ner-chuk…” at some point in the day. Seriously, I get such a kick out of listening to your enthusiasm about the subject that it always leaves me wanting to learn more or run out and dry that new wine or varietal. You bring the level of excitement to the subject of wine tasting that’s certain to infect all those listening (reminds me of those teachers whose classes everyone enjoyed because their enthusiasm and love of the subject was contagious).

I truly enjoy your off-the-cuff descriptions and flair for making wine-tasting an enjoyable everyday experience (no offense to Sir Gary, but there’s enough pretentiousness already).

So each day, sometimes a couple of times each day I hit the computer keys to bring up the Thunder. Monday slips into Tuesday, Tues. into Wednesday, and so forth. But no Gary. Bummer………….. QOTD. Really missed YOU, you big lug. [It’s ok for one guy to say that to another, isn’t it?]. Life is a pisser sometimes, but we have to take the hand dealt. Get well, be with family, and we will be here when you are ready. God bless.

There’s only one thing we’ll miss and that is YOU Gary.
You ARE the Wine Library to us. Nobody does it better.
Take all the time off you need. You can be sure we’ll all be here waiting for your return.

QOTD: More than the wine info (which is great) I miss your honesty and humour. I think because we’re almost the same age I always laugh to myself at the mid-80s references that many people probably miss. And when you pan a wine that a) you sell a lot of, or b) you thought would be great, I always feel a little twinge of happiness….’Yeah, still keepin it real’.

What I miss the most of no WLTV is that your broadcasts were my secret little get-away during my busy work day. You and the show is like an indulgent dessert wine after a bland, boring meal.

Miss WLTV – but you very well know that your family and friends are most important. I’m holding you and yours in the Light, Gary.
