Don’t let that discourage you though. I’m glad I know about St. Aubin now and it’s really informative to hear you talk about the different appellations, even just to hear it in conversation rather than only seeing it as words on a label.

QOTD: What’s holding me back? It’s white wine! I will buy a red wine over a white wine EVERY TIME when I am paying for wine.

QOTD: I’m almost positive that I’ve seen Saint Aubin on a label a couple times before, but I’ve never heard anything about it or had it recommended, and like Kenny below I tend to buy reds (or at least spend larger amounts on reds than whites)…but they do sound very interesting.
Also, I’ve been interested in finding white wines that can age for more than a couple years just to see/smell/taste the difference in a bottle over time – so thank you for mentioning the potential for cellaring these whites.

Mostly drinking reds these days, but will have to look for a bottle of this white, never had wine from the region. I normally drink wines with a lower price point, but maybe on a special occasion it would be worth uncorking.

Mott, please tell Gary when he’s missed a button or two and maybe toss him some lotion w/ shea butter in it? It’s ok, though-those of us w/ male children felt right at home today ; ) Good ep.

This was the first time I got to relax all day. Other than spending time with my wife and daughter – best part of my day.

Great show…Gotta admit that I”ve never really enjoyed chardonnay wines, as they always seem too oaky and slightly bitter to me..I’ll try the St-Aubin though, maybe I’ll change my mind.. Cheers

QOTD: I’m always down for some REAL chard. I’m talkin Burg, not butter bandit. Its always kind of expensive though, and 05s are on the high end. I will keep my eyes peeled for St. Aubin though. Thanks for the great tip. I love bacon in my drinks (ie Northern Rhone, and Smoked beer)

QOTD: Another raise i guess! lol, that and I’m just starting to get into whites, so i may save the st. Aubin for a little later in my palate development.
