Hey Dude,

Congrats on 2 years of WLTV! There are many reasons why I watch the show, a majority of them are not related to wine. I’ve done my best to list them below.

– Motivation: I’m starting my own business and seeing what you’ve been able to do with WLTV is motivating. You basically started off with no viewers and have been grow it to what it is today. I spend a lot of time thinking about that. I’m in a similar situation with our startup business.

– Entertaining: It is fun watching the show. After a long day of working it’s great to be able to watch a show that takes your mind off of everything.

Education: Of course we all learn a lot about wine while watching the show but I also appreciate the history and regional information you provide regarding the different wines

Anyway, I could keep babbling but I want you to know that I truly appreciate your dedication. I also what to thank you for giving me some feedback on my project.

One more comment… It’s kind of a bummer that this time around, you’re making us buy something in order to get a “free” wrist band. I do like that you kind of separate your show from the store (you’re not doing this to sell wine, right? 😉 ), yet here I have to buy a specific thing (well, one of 50 wines) in order to get one… I have no problem buying wine from you guys (done that quite a bit!), but honestly there is nothing on the list that I want. I even thought about spending $8 on the cheapest bottle just to effectively pay $8 for the wristband to keep my complete collection going. But really, that’s rather silly… so unfortunately, I won’t be wearing the spread the thunder wristband. 🙁 I know you probably did it this way so you didn’t get the mass flood of requests and be unable to allocate, but still… bummer!

You’re intoxicating, (like the wine pun, there? heh) and watching your show puts me in a good mood no matter where I am or what I’m doing. Thanks for something amazing and please keep it up for as long as you can… although I’m sure bigger and better things are bound to come your way!

Hey Gary,
Long time Canadian lurker here. I’ve been watching since around episode 200, and this is my first comment. I know. But before you go off, I didn’t comment for the longest time because, well, I was new to the wine game, and honestly didn’t have much to say. Then you started calling us lurkers out, and rightfully so, and I decided to start commenting…as soon as I had something to say. Then I had a moral crisis…the comment rewards. I didn’t want to comment just because you were offering a reward, I’m not that kind of guy, so still no comments.

But now that it’s your 2nd anniversary, and there’s no incentive on the line, I can finally step out of the shadows to wish you a happy anniversary, and thank you greatly for all the fantastic expertise and enthusiasm you’ve shared with me. It has made a huge difference in how much I enjoy wine. Thanks!

Gary, I am so glad that you are a part of my life now. Even though I get busy with law school, I try to watch every day. Sorry if I don’t always comment! Internet access is not a constant for me, so I usually download when I’m at school and then watch at home.

Here’s my statement: you have made me appreciate people more. I know the show is about wine, but you have made it so much more. You stress the importance of trusting yourself, appreciating your family and friends, and really just CONSCIOUSLY enjoying the ride that is life. Thanks for being a super fun loop-the-loop in my life roller coaster.

I wish I could get a wristband…stupid PA. Hope you’ll still do a show today, even though the comments don’t look like they’re reaching 1,000…those damn lurkers.

SOTD: With all the problems plaguing society, I think it is really special that all of us, who are working to change the wine world, can all come together across the world, and forget about the problems to sip and taste wine. We might be stumbling on the recipe for world harmony.

Congrats on 2 years!!! I have to tell you that everyday I get to watch WLTV I learn something new and more importantly it puts a smile on my face. There’s nothing better then working all day in the office and then late in the afternoon when you think you can’t take any more to be able to tune in to a new episode.
