Hell yeah I remember Kiddie City, and it wasn’t just in Jersey, I had one near me in Baltimore growin up. It definitely beat toy-r-us.

I’ve had a pinot gris ROSE from Reuilly in Loire. Had a gelatin thing going on in the nose. Neat to try, but I wouldn’t buy it.

    I’ve really enjoyed some of the Pinot Grigio from Gravner and the Friuli that I’ve had, but I think the hedonistic ripe Alsatian Pinot Gris are really where it’s at for me. The 2001 Marcel Deiss Pinot Gris Bergheim might be the best one ever for me – good minerality, and a real spice cabinet of aromas. Zind Humbrecht is always a good bed.

    QOTD1 – my friend and I tried diligently to make 3/29 possible with our work & school schedules so that we could road trip from Indianapolis, but alas, we won’t make it this time. We are, however, planning a road trip to the WL this summer – and we’ll just have to make our own Thunder Party!

    My first shipment of wine from the Lib arrived today – thanks – and I’m wearing my wristband! Woo Hoo!

  • QOTD – Nope, can’t make it. QOTD #2: Have only had Pinot Grigio from Italy, none were impressive and some were downright horrible. The best PG was from Santa Margarita so that shows you how bad they have all been. Never had a Pinot Gris from the U.S. but will try at least one in the near future.
