QOTD: My wife. She doesn’t like most wines, so it’s a real treat for me when I get to share one with her. My son (who’s only 11). He doesn’t sip any, but gives them all a “sniffy sniff” and watches most every episode of WLTV with me.

Funny story for you Gary. A new grocery store opened in our area. We went there last Saturday and found they had a liquor store attached. My son and I went inside and they were having a wine tasting of a Syrah. I got a sample and gave it to my son to sniff. The liquor store manager was a little shocked but I promised him my son wouldn’t drink any.

I asked my son what he smelled and he responded “black pepper & spice”. I asked “what else?” He said “a little green pepper and dark fruit”. I asked “anything else?” and he said “my palates not trained yet.” 😀

I then got to explain how my son and I watch WLTV every day!

Erica and I are on the same page. . . (as usual) You talk all this hype about OUR hometown, but how would you REALLY know? You have to see it for yourself. The wine, the farmers market, the restaurants – incredible. Also, the Monteillet Fromagerie in Dayton (not far from WW) is a must see when you are in town. They have a wine and cheese tasting for $10 and let me tell you. . . Mama Joan typically has some sought after wine to taste.

Wow….watching this is almost surreal. It was a great pleasure to come on the show…and I am looking forward to seeing Gary re-visit the other bottle of Teachworth that I left in a few months. I hope that everyone will search out all of the wineries that I brought wines from on the show…as they are all extremely inviting and great places to visit and experience.
