Loved it! I didn’t know there were folks in Maine like Kirk that rolled at $25+ for good QPR wines!!! I was in Bah Habah last Spring and loved it… though the crew and I didn’t make it to Havana 🙁 Next time we’ll roll out the Benjamins and stroll to Castro country and try some interesting Oregon wines.

QOTD: The CKC’s -come one, come all!

Good episode with Radioactive man. A couple of things regarding the wine “story.” I buy into it sort of, you go somewhere and have a good time and the wine tastes better I get it. Really, shouldn’t it only matter what is in the bottle for everyone else? I guess the feel good owners tending grapes and crushing with love is good marketing but is it good wine?

Nice show. Very generous of your guest to bring so many interesting wines. I had great hopes for the Blueberry – my favorite fruit next to mangos. I would love to try the Patricia Green.
QOTD: my husband and anyone else we can find who would like to share a glass or two of wine with us.

Do you think that it should be “No matter what it thinks” rather than “No matter what they think” since you’re talking about the wine world and world is singular? or you could say “No matter what anybody thinks”. Think about it.

  • Kev and Ams

    QOTD: My lady.

Back in the day, I used to play in a synth-pop band. Two of the other guys made their own wine (the band was not such a great success). We might drink a bottle or two after a rehearsal. Many years on, its still fun to drink with them.

  • purplejuicebruce

Great show ,wonderful guest. Really need to do more fruit wines.

Way to kill your buddy G-Man!!-remind me not to bring any of my favs so they can get destroyed. The Teachworth sounds intriguing, I’m really craving some mountain fruit now.

QOTD: Those that love it like I do.

    Fun episode, you two! 🙂

QOTD: I most enjoy drinking wine with my husband. He’s actually out-of-town right now, and I haven’t really wanted to sip any juice without him. Second place, btw, is the group of Seattle Vayniacs — always super fun to examine a glass with them!

Big G, Great Show. Great Guest. Not too crazy about the idea of a Fruit Wine Show, but then again I have to try new things. Keep Rockin G!

QOTD: My Wine Crew… Stan, Troy, Ian and Mike.

A little harsh at times. The poor guy lugs his favorite wines all the way from Maine; this would be a time to exercise a little restraint, Dude! Good show though.

What a nice show. Pleasure ending the day rolling onto winelibrary and relaxing. Lovely. Thanks.
QOTD: I usually have a glass of wine each night, by myself, but sharing long distance with a cousin online makes up for it.

  • Great, great show with a cool, down-to-earth kinda guy. Thanks goodness he didn’t root for the Pats!

That being said, by all means, do some fruit wine reviews. Expand your PAL.

QOTD: Hands down, Dr Wo, a friend of mine that I get to taste some wonderful wines during his holiday party. Yes, infrequent, but it is the most fun I have tasting wine all year long.

    Cheers!

    Kirk-
We spend every summer on MDI, and have never made it to Havana. I’ll be sure to stop in this time, and open a bottle of Torre Muga that you show on your wine list(also love Kistler Family Chards-good call-wouldn’t they be great with lobster?)
In which wine store do you work?

QOTD: My husband is my favorite drinking partner.

QOTD, Well I’d like to say it’s my wife, but she thinks everything I like tastes like ear wax..how she knows that.. I dont wanna know…I have a special group of friends called the wild bunch and we started playing sports together over 25 years ago for some.. but now that we are on the other side of 50, more golf, and less softball….there is a small part of that group that shares the same tastes in wine and I enjoy very much spending time with them, and trying new types of wine…
