Hey Gary great show. I am so glad to see that your guest featured a wine made from grapes grown in the Rogue Valley. Joe actually makes some pretty good wine in my opinion and much of the fruit comes from our vineyard and other local vineyards in southern Oregon. I think the good old Rogue Valley will catch on and gain some reputation, much like the Willamette valley. The number of vineyards is expanding each day, we currently have over 72 acres planted, which is quite small compared to larger vineyards. If you ever want to sample some other wines from our area please let me know.

QOTD: I enjoy drinking wine with friends, my best friend Mike got me hooked on your show and I haven’t turned back since. It is so much fun to sample different wines. We are trying to start a local wine tasting club sometime soon.

A buddy of mine, he is very analitical and I learn more from him than other people.

Kirk – great choices. In Naramata, BC, we annually visit a little place called Elephant Island that does only fruit wine. They make a wonderful Black Currant with a deceptive nose. The wine is dry. Amazing with food! The Elephant Island Apricot… drink in winter and summer fills the room.

Well, I would have to say I enjoy drinking wine the most with my Dad, especially because he really enjoys it the way I do, and he’s the one who taught me about wine. I also like drinking wine with my boyfriend, but only when he’s enjoying the wine too…I think that’s important: to be able to share wine with people who really enjoy it as you do.

Great show. These are the shows I enjoy watching the most and think should happen more often. More Vayniacs need to bring wine and appear on the show! Was really looking forward to the Teachworth with all the hype Kirk gave it in the forums 🙂 Good job Kirk!

Forgot to mention: QOTD – No doubt the person I enjoy sharing wine with most is my better half, Grape Queen.. After that is other wine geeks and people on the cusp of developing more than a passing interest in wine.

QOTD: One of my best friends. He’s actually into beer more than wine, but it doesn’t matter. Tasting beer or tasting wine with him is great. So is jamming with him (he’s also a pianist). I think the two are related, but I’m not sure how.
