QOTD: I gotta say that it was an absolute treat drinking wine along with Gary the two times that I’ve had that privilege, but otherwise I’d say: My cousin’s Irish wife Naomi. She’s an absolute sweetheart and has a passion to learn more and more about appreciating world class wine at the modest end of the price range with me.

Growing up in Hunterdon County (NJ) I remember having to square dance and hating it… you’re not the only one, GV. Maybe it’s a Jersey thing?

Great show, being a “transplant” from NJ to ME it was exciting to see a Maine wine and a vayniac from Maine on the show. Way to support the local Maine Wine Scene, Kirk.

I hate to say this, but this guy was kind of a weak guest. It seemed like he was holding back. He didn’t bring much input. Still a great show. Still love the thunder. I’m just sayin’.

Very nice show, very neat story, I’m an older vayniac than Kirk, weeee! I can’t come on March 29 – weep! I have at least one Petit Verdot (100%) in my cellar. Two Tannats, one of which I’ve tasted, and is awesome. No Cotes Roties, but one Chateneauf Du Pape. Very nice show. QOTD: With Concepción, when she’s really in the mood to taste and enjoy wine

Great show Gary. Always love guests. Kirk seems a real salt-of-the-earth kind of guy. Interesting wines. (And a nice poke at those who say you only do this show to sell wine at your store!)

QOTD: Though my wife’s a chef, she’s not really a wine drinker. So, I would have to say that I enjoy drinking wine with my friend Rory. He and I both like to share the adventure of stumbling onto a new wine.

Can’t imagine how a dry wild blueberry wine could be to enjoyable.

We make wild dandelion wine…….but we fortify it with raisins and honey after primary fermentation. So it has a hint of dandelion with a mead flavor.

Bartlett Wild Blueberry Wine, wish I could have a sniffy sniff. Years back I went to Columbia Winery (WA) and they gave me a taste of two Paul Thomas’ fruit wines: Bartlett Pear; Raspberry. Awesome nose, fresh ripe (not overripe) fruit exactly pear and exactly raspberry respectively. Taste? Clean and dry, refreshing. Sadly they make this wine no more, but I still dream about it.

i am at the end of week 2 of no french wine.. it is tough but i am doing alright. it might get broken though this weekend.

Great show! Can relate on changing my profession into wine as well…passion! Oregon wines and WA wines are awesome, will be oign up at the end of the month. No question…I enjoyed drinking with friends and family!
