Right now I am eating Spaghetti Carbonara (the REAL one WITHOUT cream) and a bottle of good Nero d’Avola from Sicily. Sounds good? It is!

  • haha, I was going to comment that you’re doing the whole finger quote thing like mad in this episode, but you figured it out yourself.

Sounds like there’s lots of pictures being taken today… going to be another magazine article soon?

QOTD: All of it! Italian is my favorite food (and wine). I would have said gnocchi a few weeks ago, but then I was food poisoned by some and wound up puking for days, so while I know it’s generally delicious, I just can’t stand the thought of it right now. I hope that experienced didn’t ruin me.

    Heya Gary!
Okay I’m a former lurker, but now I’m out of the bushes. Been looking ’round the site, catching up on some of the good episodes. Nice stuff. And ya have to love your super premium values in life (besides NFL ofcourse :-P).

QOTD: Almost all of it! Real Italien style pizzas, pasta with their simple but exceptionally well tasting sauces, bruschetta, tortellini, risotto… omg, there’s so much.

Excellent show, very much looking forward to my trip to Italy now.

Favourite Italian food would be Baked Ziti al forno, with a Barbera D’Alba Aldo Conterno to go with it.

  • Does chicken parmigiana count? If that counts, that’s what I’m going with. I try it at just about every restaurant I get around to going into. I’m kind of obsessed with it, in fact.

  • Welcome home Gary!

QOTD – Ossobuco – the way my husband Armand makes it (based on a Julia Childs recipe). It’s AWESOME!
