Great show Gary! Good to see you back, you even got a new haircut – nice! Barolo is a favorite when I can roll that high. Thanks for sharing. Shared a bottle with some family at Christmas, it was AMAZING.

QOTD: Geez so many things come to mind, for some reason my head (and stomach) is screaming pizza, calzone, and stromboli. So those are my favorites TODAY.

    QOTD:
    How to choose just one?
As much as I love lasagna, spaghetti, and all those wonderful pasta dishes, the answer has to be pizza. I mean, how could it be anything else?

QOTD: Brassato al Barolo would pair very well with today’s show. I also love Pappardelle Bolognese, Meatballs, Tagliata Di Manzo, Orrecciete with Rabe and Hot Sausage, Chicken Marsala, Pork Chops with Vinegared Cherry Peppers, Veal Piccatta….the list does go on and on.

and on and on. I’ll check back in anon.

Prosciutto, sliced thin, Italian hams, with a variety of olives and cheeses is my favorite Italian food. Of course, with some crusty bread, warm from the oven. Match it with a great Brunello and I’m in heaven!

QOTD: Lasagna. Just like Garfield, baby.

  • Almost any pork product in Tuscany. Especially the pieces of larded ham you can buy in the market. Don’t know what wine goes with that but why not Barolo. Have not bought any in the last 2 years as the market for them was soft and the flavor profile not to my usual taste in Barolo. May have to get some 2004.
