    GV –

I had a Robert Mondavi Chenin Blanc last weekend, and love it. Very crisp on at the beginning, and then creamy finished. Loved it. I am starting to really like Chenin Blancs for multiple reasons, but 1) weather is starting to turn nice 2) Chardonnay KILLS my stomach.

    Thanks GV!

I had a SA chenin blanc whose name escapes me and Valley of the Moon Chenin Blanc which was pretty insipid.

Oh boy, I better leave a comment or I’ll be cut off. I’m sure my last Chenin Blanc I had was from South Africa, probably Ken Forrester.

  • LOL…I’m leaving a comment, I don’t want to lose my ability to see you tomorrow, must learn about more wines and expand my pal!

QOTD: Chenin Blanc…I don’t think I’ve had any…must expand my pal and try!

That’s what I love about this show, I get to learn all about these wines I’ve never even heard of, and I love Thai food, so this will be perfect for me!

I’m a huge vouvray nut. In fact, even though I generally drink more red than white wine, if I could only have one type of wine for the rest of my life, it would probably be chenin blanc/vouvray. I was super excited to watch this episode. Totally agree with you about the chidaine — will have to look for that third wine you tasted.

QOTD: oof, not sure if I can pick just one. I really like the Viking vouvrays I’ve had, and the Huets, but I the wine that I actually stocked up on is the 1990 Poniatowski Vouvray Aigle Blanc. Grass, oolong tea, beeswax, apricots, lemon peel. . . it goes on and on.

just wondering if any of the presidential campaigns have been in contact with Gary about a possible V.P. offer?

  • Hi GV, the last chenin blanc I drank was Orvieto Single Estate 2007. It was ok, I’m more of the rouge type of chap, but I will stay tuned for new chenin recommendations in the future.

Love the show and love the tech/ online branding advice you dish out, helps me with my work in new media……big thank you, keep it up!

  • It is really funny. in germany we have something like a wine blogging wednesday. it is called »wein rallye« and it just takes place one time a month. for april i have given the motto and it was? Chenin Blanc! Because i have the opinion, that to much people do not have any idea, what chenin blanc is. so a lot of german wine bloogers wrote about it.

if your are interested, it looks like this: http://www.originalverkorkt.de/2008/04/weinrallye-10-die-zusammenfassung/
