    Looking forward to hearing about the Castano Monastrell. I was very disappointed when I had it recently because I had such high expectations. I was really hoping this would be a huge value for me. I’m curious to see how Gary feels.

    I really didn’t care for the Evil either, just not good wine. The only thing it really had going for it was clever packaging.

    One of the fairly available red spanish wines that’s been somewhat enjoyable is protocolo.

    I’d really like to see you take a look at more of the $10-20 spanish wine and maybe some some of the rhone blends coming out of the central coast of california.

    QOTD: I am glad to know I’m not the only one batting .250 when it comes to under-$10 “90 point” reds. They’re almost always weak.

    Last best one, though, was “Strong Arms” shiraz 2006. Ironically it’s made by the “EVIL” people and Parker gave it a 91. I thought it was pretty good.

    I see you’re following Revision3’s lead in autoplaying the Flash video whether the user wants to see it or not (“whether they like it…or not” is more appropriate). Very annoying! I always download episodes for later viewing so having the hit the pause/stop button on all these videos is getting annoying.

  • It was Spanish and I have the bottle but can’t remember what it was. Had a few Portuguese wines that were 10-12. The first grape you got me with. I know I’ve never had it. Disappointed to find that Wine Library had no Rosatos. These are my absolutely favorite roses. I have the black and green wristband but then I’ve been around since #1.
