Your recommendations – Had the ’05 Bourgueil from Dom. De La Chanteleuserie. Very original. Thanks for encouraging us to try CF! Also had the ’02 Tempier Bandol. Loved it. Also original and interesting.

QOTD: Gary you have to seek this wine out, its called Inevitavel-Santa Vitoria. I just tasted this wine a few weeks ago at a tasting and it brought the thunder !!!!

Grape Varieties- Touriga Nacional and Syrah
13 months in French Oak

tasting Notes- Full bodied red wine with intense and complex aroma, where peppermint, orange-tree flower, dark plum, fresh figs, truffles and dark chocolate aromas stand out. The taste is very structured and involving, and the high quality tannins are evident yet elegant, and made smoother by ageing in the bottles. The finish is long and complex.

This wine runs around $40 bones…not bad for what you get…give it a wirl.

Great show. As you said, a little wierd for a Friday show but I am looking forward to picking up both of the Pomums.

Major Recommendation:

GRAVITY – the Wine not Newton’s 4th law, although we all must obey it. Try Radford Dale Gravity Stellenbosch 2005 – only 140 cases imported so it’s hard to find but worth the effort. (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Viognier) Spectator really blew it with this one (only 86 points) it’s pure chocolate mint on the palate.

Watched this episode half awake on Saturday morning, afterwards I was wide awake. Love the energy GV, you could talk about anything and your energy would make it interesting.

Fun show! Poor Lassie, I think there is a lost episode where she pulls the case of wine out of the burning house and saves the day. Timmy says, “Lassie! Get the Pinot!”
