Nice show GV, I plan on seeing you at bounce. I might just have to stay up all night since I have to get up at 5am. Keep the info coming. This show is like my cliff notes.

Wine Library can show us ways to train our palette. I still smell wines and taste wines, but non of the flavors do the shout-out like they do to good ol’ Gary V.

  • QOTD: Give me some ideas on what to drink chilled in AZ. I know you hate on drinking wine chilled but it gets HOT here. HOT HOT for like 6 months straight, can you help me out 🙂

QOTD: Hmmm, I wish i could taste along with you more often, maybe post up the wines you’ll be tasting in advance… Other than that between the shows, the book, the free stuff, the free shipping offers, the special events, the VAYNIAC CAB…I dunno dude, I think you have us pretty well covered.

QOTD – I think that getting ideas from your presentations always helps. The more I see the more I learn and hope that it allows me to enjoy wine more. Two thing – maps? I really am not familiar with all of the locations that you refer to – maybe it is not important – but I am a visual learner.

Maybe someday the 40 bones plus will be in my range – but for right now thats not gonna happen.

I’ll continue to support the efforts, but hey if you can make it down to Philly that would be kewl – just a train ride! — GO Flyers! – I think that the Sixers are dead – too much talent on the Pistons.

Lovely .. there I have to try.

QOTD1: Not gonna be there – 5500 miles away
    QOTD2: No
QOTD3: Come to Cyprus and do a WLTV show 🙂

Keep on bringing the THUNDER and educating us.

Nice show, I love the education theme here.

QOTD: make wine fun!!! This is the best part of WLTV. Wine Spectator has a video podcast, and those people are much less enthusiastic. They throw out the same terms (balance, structure) but never explain them and I never really know what they think about a wine. WLTV is great because you’re passionate and straight-forward when praising or panning a wine, so it’s easier for me (as a wine newbie) to understand. Keep up the good work!

The Northern Rhone rocks. A syrah that I’d suggest you try is made by Arns winery in St. Helena. Sandi Arns is a rock star when it comes to making Northern Rhone Syrah like Chapoutier might make it. Great Howell Mtn fruit. Check out the link – http://www.arnswinery.com

    Great show as usual..

Keep bringing the thunder. I love the episodes with wines that I’ve never hears of…which is why this episode was great. I was just reading the wine list for a restaurant that I’m going to on vacation and found a Cornas. Can’t wait to try it.

I felt like the show hit a rut (in passion…not content) shortly after ep 400 (i.e. the day GV didn’t get 1000 comments), but I think the past 25 or 30 episodes have been back to the passion and excitement we saw in the past. That is what we love about the show. Thanks GV.

qotd: more depth in regions and grapes, i.e. single shows on one region at a time to try a bunch against each other instead of grab bags. Also, less diversions about the Jets – I like many here I’m sure, couldn’t care less about them, so can we just move on?? The more you talk crazy about number 16. the more I like Tom Brady (Go Blue).

Thanks for doing Cornas! My very first “Whoa!” moment with wine was a ’96 TL Cornas earlier this year. It really turned me on to all the reds from the northern Rhone, much to the chagrin of my bank account.

  • If the Conan viewing meetup is at the Bounce on the upper east side, I’m totally there… as long as high end beer drinkers are welcome.

QOTD: WLTV can continue to give value episodes and episodes about obscure and undervalued wine regions of the world. Kudos.

    Hey Gary,

Just keep on keeping on. I actually had my first Quincey a few weeks ago. A wonderfully flavorful Sauvignon Blanc without the over-the-top New Zealand craziness.

I hope to see you at the NYC book signing…

Gary, Damn, you think you were pumped about the Cornas, I was supercharged. Syrah is my grape and now I have to go find some.
QOTD: Bring WLTV and yourself to San Diego and sign my books.

GV in the future, please do not refer to ‘The Ohio State University’ as simply ‘Ohio State University’. The full name should always be used.

Otherwise, a great show. Very enjoyable and informative.
