I just got a 100% tempranillo wine that was low in price and rated high so I am curious how it will taste.
QOTD: My go to cereals are cinnamon toast crunch and peanut butter crunch, keeping it healthy of course.

QOTD- Crushed ants cereal all the way! haha.
I’d be curious to find out what that actually smells like if it wasn’t so cruel!
You need to make a big list of all the crazy things you’ve smelled/ eaten!
I bet it would be fascinating!

Frosted mini-wheats. Serious on one side…you remember the commercial.

Is the Oak Monster face patented? I really want to steal it to my own advantage. I wonder how many Vanyiacs have used this while out pretending they know wine with their friends….

  • Crushed ants? I’ve had squashed lightning bugs or those tobacco-spewing grasshoppers but not crushed ants. Great analogy.

Good show, I like it when you “go back” to a wine. I do it all the time to make sure my taste buds weren’t deceiving me.

QOTD: Cap’n Crunch with Crunch Berries

P.S. Why not DC for a book signing? All the notable writers come here plus you can take in a Nationals game at the new ballpark.

  • At 7:45 at night I’m not eating cereal. Just had lobster stuffed Tilapia with a Gewürtztraminer from Stoney Hill winery of Napa. In the AM I do eat frosted shredded wheat with strawberries. I have had two of the Country Roads projects and really enjoyed them. Don’t know if they have a tasting room in Paso but would love to try more.

  • Awesome episode. QOD Just the Clusters Maple Pecan Granola (Trader Joes)–take a Sniff! Oatmeal and sugar explode on the nose.

Love the Mendoza wines for all the reasons that you mentioned. Great values and a real surprise to most of our friends and guests.

Really enjoyed the Roddy Piper piece, too.
