QOTD: On a sad note, I am surprised how fast the economy has gone in the dump and the gas prices have gone so high 🙁

QOTD: Toured some of the CT wineries this weekend and was definitely surprised by the caliber of these places (I was expecting a shack with a more “Ma’ and Pa’ feel). The quality of the wines was decent (lots of Chard) but I was very excited to see many of them going un-oaked.

Biggest suprise in wine was several Louis Jadot Cru Beaujolais from 2005! Delicious!

Otherwise would have to say the amazing birth of my first Son! AMM

Biggest surprise this year? Moving to Wisconsin! Thank goodness my boss is cool and will let me telecommute. . . because I’m not going for my job! Interesting tidbit though: there are 46 wineries in Wisconsin. Can’t wait to see what they have to offer. Maybe you should do a Wisconsin show!

QOTD: I’d say it’s probably that a tree in our front yard got struck by lightning this week. Wasn’t expecting that!

Gary, how could you not add the rockers to the list of best tag teams of all time? I mean, they were awesome before Shawn Micheals turned into a douche.

Anyways, I’m from Oklahoma so this is my favorite episode now! I’ve tasted a few 80 ish point wines from Oklahoma. Quite a few not so great as well. I live in San Francisco now (you may remember signing a bottle of beringer white zin). Anyways, i hope to make it to the 500th episode party. Flying to OK next week, I’ll try to pick up a few bottles of the Chapel Creek to bring back for the party!!

Seeing a review of Oklahoma wines period.

I agree with Oregon Jim – Suspicious of Oklahoma Meritage. Gary, if it reminds you of wash state cab/merlot, maybe it is wash state cab/merlot grapes. Please investigate the source of the grapes – a road trip is in order.

Biggest shock this year – The Giants won the super bowl – that’s like Oklahoma Meritage being better than 90% of west coast $20 meritage’s.

Well, thanks for a really good episode. Glad to see our neighbors to the north produce a wine that appears pretty good.

QOTD – My biggest surprise this year? I really cannot think of any big surprise, pretty boring huh?

QOTD – My daughter selecting the University of Vermont to attend college was one of the biggest surprises of the year for me. Also – Eli Manning driving down the field in the final minutes was a shick, but not a pleasant one!

Learned that my step-mom was cheating on my dad. OH SNAP!!! Big Surprise, oh hell yes. But shiz happens and we all just have to take care of it when it happens and be there for the loved ones who need it.
