Grrrr, mic no like. Sounds tiny and chalky and mushy. If an eight year old ran into a chalk board face first while eating Goobers, you’d get V’s vocals from this episode. Please get a mixer or better still, go back to your roots.

QOTD: Sorry no wine on the 4th…it’s a beer holiday….so yummy Negra Modelo with a fish fry and tons of fireworks….

Like the audio with the mic but when you really raise the volume it spikes out pretty badly….love hearing the spit resonate though…

Thanks for expanding wine for me as I would never of tried albrino or dolcetto.
QOTD: best was Elk Cove pinot gris, Oregon, and the Bragoto Tocai Friulano.
    Worst was Cain Five cab

  • Moselman

Sounds like you’re talking thru a door รข?? muffled/filtered sort-of. Definitely agree it detracts from your mellifluous tones. Back to the camera mic, svp.

QOD: Best wine 1990 Ch Malescot St Exupery……worst? didnt have any stinkers, but the 1995 Beringer Reserve Cab was nothing special….

Gary, may i suggest moving the mic further away from your neck-wear a button-down and clip it on the shirt about 3 or 4 buttons from the top

    QOTD:
BEST = 2002 Quinta das Maias Dao
& 1999 Les Chemins de Bassac “Cap de L’Homme” Cotes de Thongue
Both went killer with the 3-inch 40oz Ribeye I grilled up on the 4th. Hey it was freedom day right? I can grill what I want.

WORST = La Vielle Ferme Cotes du Ventoux Rose (which was still pretty good…just the least favorite of the weekend)

  • QOTD: I had 1 wine this weekend and it rocked. I have a Vino Vherde (sp?). It had some major frizzante action which I enjoyed.

QOTD: The best was a mid-coast 2005 syrah and the worst was this unremarkable X-Winery red blend that I bought at the duty free liquor store on the way up to the NH mountains. Holler!

  • The mic was a little weird at first, but didn’t even notice it after a couple minutes.

QOTD: I only had one wine this weekend, but it was palate expanding. I had a Ciro. It was great with all of the food at the bbq.

  • QOTD: Oddly enough, I had no wine this weekend either. Over the course of two days my 4th became a festival of brews and tequila. I had way to much of the later for my own good on Saturday night.

I am very curious to take the wine Rinaldi star challenge. I want to rock the face off of that star.

    Viva Rafa!

QOTD: Went to Wyandotte Winery in Columbus, OH…a tiny little place,

  • Get rid of that mic – save it for the live/remote eps.
You no longer sound warm, personal, intimate.
It’s the difference between sounding like you are giving a seminar to 5,000 people in a hockey arena vs a 1-to-1 visit with the viewer in his/her home (which is how it sounded before).

  • Honestly, it sounds worth with the mic.
