Gary and crew: great show. Honestly, I still watch religiously but have not posted in a long time. I live and work in Des Moines, IA, and I have to say I have talked to more WLTV fans in the last month than I ever thought possible. Congrats on everything. I love the concept of the “wine as investment” show, and it’s great to see Mr. Cramer along for the ride. What do you think the trend toward wines of immediate consumption will have on the wine investment market? Even the 2005 Bordeaux I have been privelaged enough to try have been decidedly open and leaning toward “California” in style. I worry that these and most other wines are steadily losing their ability to age and could really undermine wine as a long-term investment.

Jim Cramer was great on Arrested Development

Great show with lots of energy. A special shout out to my dad who in honor of my birthyear, 1977, purchased lots of those ports decades ago. We’ve enjoyed many over the years and still have a few full bottles of Dows, Warres, Fonseca, etc to enjoy on my 35th, 40th, and 50th birthdays.
I’m hoping the 2007 Sauternes will be just as good for my daughter (cause it won’t be the bordeauxs!)

The used cars salesman hard sell approach exemplified by Cramer is really annoying and blahhh, plus he is SOOOOOOOOOO damn loud (Roseanne anyone…), he must think he’s doing an informercial for retards, sorry, absolutely no cigar (whatever the price fo the stoogie, Cramer.

Great Show! Definitely lived up to the hype. I had to watch it a couple times over a couple days. Jim was a great guest- I can actually see the wheels turning in his head. Good to see him with a buzz on: did you guys taste some wine before the show? Anyhoo, very entertaining. Hopefully we can see some more investment driven shows.

QOTD: Not sure if I understand it, or if Jim’s question applies, but what if the investment wine was corked:( Then you would definitely have a problem.

Gary, you and Jim Cramer did a fabulous job on episode 499. Loved seeing you both taste the four wines and your reactions to them, especially the Dow’s 1977 Port. Gary, you treat your guests so well and show them a lot of care and respect while they sit beside you.

Can’t wait until episode 500 is shown on Monday.

wow, way to bring the thunder guys. as for the qotd, I don’t know all that much about specific vintages and regions. but I’ve found that talking with my friends, the south american and spanish wines are overlooked by far. Everyone seems to think california a lot and people have discovered australia and new zealand now. but I’ve had two spanish wines recently and they brought the thunder big time. and it wasn’t anything that anyone was saying I need to go buy. so that’s what makes me think that it is still largely undiscovered.

Great energy from both of you! Not sure how the room could contain such star power and amount of BOOOOOOYAHHHHHH coming from the table.

Fun to talk about wine as an investment instead of just drinking it….but for now I am just a drinker.

Gary – What a great webisode with Cramer. The problem, however, when we talk about values of wine (which Cramer did not raise) is that there is NO MARKET for an individual collector to sell a bottle despite its appreciation. If I buy ONE bottle of ’05 Latour, I cannot SELL that bottle 5, 10, 50 years later. Who will buy only 1 bottle? A case, perhaps at auction. It doesn’t matter what a bottle is worth, if I can’t sell it. True?!

Wow 3 mad juices in 40 minutes. Did Jim paid for the wine before you corked them?

QOTD: I’d short Charles Shaw a.k.a 2-Buck-Chuck, like Ford (F) it’s going to $0. And like Ford no one will miss them.

Ya finally got this lurker to come out into the light GV. How could I help it with the power of one of the greatest money men out there joining forces with my wine guru of the small screen. Love the subject of wine as an investment, though I doubt any wine I purchase will last long enough for me to worry about its cash value.

I really really wish I had a response for the QOTD but I don’t! But I did want to leave a comment to let you know what an amazing show you had! I really enjoyed watching you this week [like most other weeks haha]!
