I’ve had some nice Tannats from Uruguay, but none were really outstanding. Good QPRs though

Great show for a Friday. I was actually thinking about Tannat today, I was considering some recently purchased Cambiata and what a beast it is. I’m thinking about seeking out a few more to try.

Will make my call this weekend, probably to some peeps in Canada or Wales.

Wow! Talk about like minded. I was already planning to call a friend/colleague of mine this weekend. I haven’t spoken to him in a few months–shame on me. He has Parkinsons and has deteriorated markedly the past few years. He’s a brilliant atmospheric scientist and has been struggling with his reduced mental capacities–much of that resulting from the med’s that he needs to take to control the Parkinsons.

Though I am expanding my palate – I tried Yellow Tail the other day. I’m an Aussie, and had never heard of it until WLTV. Anyway it was far more interesting than I expected – though I used most of it for cooking.

A little laid-back action is always in order… especially when you’re doing so many road shows! I had a great time at the Cleveland stop last night, and look forward to seeing you again in the future.

QOTD: A favorite wine from SA that’s non-Chilean or Argentinan? Hell, I haven’t had a Chateauneuf du Pape, dolcetto, or Gruner veltliner yet! It would help if the local wine shops to expand their selection (I’m working on this).

Because I have only tried wines from Chile and Argentina I can’t answer the QOTD

QOTD: There is a Brazilian winery called Miolo, they make some nice whites and one or two reds that do it. I liked the Miolo Merlot 2006 and Miolo Pinot Noir 2006
