I had a Cantillon before and the bottle was similar to the second one but I don’t think it had fruit in it- smelled nice and poopy. In fact, the enthusiastic recommendation from my friend was “if you’re into poopy you’ll love this beer…” Spot on- I love poopy and I liked the beer but what kind of recommendation was that? 😉 I’ll have to get it again and retaste to make sure. Because I need an excuse to drink, right?

Mmmmm, lambic. Good stuff! Only brand I’ve ever seen to buy around here is the Lindeman’s.

QOTD: Love the beer shows, one mistake. The lindeman’s. Don’t put that panty dropper bs sugar bomb on a real show and pretend its anything more than syrup. That’d be like giving Arbor Mist to Parker. If you want to show a sweet to semi-sweet framboise use Liefmans Frambozen or any other of the well made non-Jolly Rancher lambics out there.

Other than that-good show, and I am very envious of the St. Lamvinus.

Gary, this episode is one of my favorites in recent history for the mere fact that you wore a Vegan.com shirt on the one day you brought meat! I love it!

Great show! I live in N. Cal and had never heard of Russian River so much props for the advice. I loooooved hitting the belgian guezes when in Paris last and have been uber frustrated that they are so hard to find! Keep the beer episode coming!

Great show! More beer shows please. Alec, I can feel the passion and knowledge. Keep it up! I agree, Lambics and cheese are an amazing combo. In fact, a lot of beer and cheese pair up well.

Stupendous Gary and Alec! Always refreshing to change it up now and again. An inquisitive and informative show and makes me want to try some new beverages.

QOTD: A very solid effort; you complement Gary nicely and add a touch of class and restraint that Gary must forgo in lieu of ratings (but we all forgive him). A solid 90+

QOTD: 96 plus. I never heard of lambic beers. I never would have even imagined that such a thing existed. I feel less provincial now. Do they have them at micro breweries?
