I think it was a Greco di Tuffo, but I’ve alot of “new” untried italien stuff in my cellar.

QOTD: GREAT Value @ $13: Beni di Batasiolo 2006? Barbera di Alba. Even cheaper, and a notable second: Feudo Arancio 2006 Pinot Noir (Nero) from Sicily ($11).

QOTD: 2001 Ajello Furat. Cab, syrah, merlot blend for under 20 bones. Killer stuff.

QOTD: I don’t have my notes with me. I’m going to say 2005 Rocca Felice Dolcetto d’Alba.

Former Thunder Recommendation…2005 Attilio Ghisolfi Langhe Pinay! It’s not really Pinot Noir, it’s very good Piedmonte vino. Very enjoyable and great value…AMM

I like the 2006 “Layer Cake” Primitivo from Puglia which is located in the heel of the boot of Italy. It’s priced about 20 bones and imported by Pure Love Wines.

Great show, Gary! You got a lot of negative comments a while back about turning to the Ustream camera too often. I noticed that you have not been doing that as much in last few episodes. While it did not bother me too much, I do see that it makes the flow a bit smoother when your attention is not so divided. I thought, after all the complaints, you should get some thanks for responding! Thanks for all the great shows.

QOTD: Elio Perrone 2006 Barbera d’Asti Tas Mor Cant–14 bones. Your recommendation on WLTV. Fantastic–tasted like mashed potato–overcooked green bean and pop-tart combo. Loved it. Went back to get another bottle.

two Vinos Ya had there, look like they’re worth a try……….

QOTD : I wish I could remember what it was – had one last week – and IGT from Tuscany I think – very affordable wine. Really vegetal aspects on the nose, then musk on the palate – like nothing I’ve had before really – very unique – no idea what it was made from.

QOTD: Just had Barone 2006 Montepulciano, very rich, tannic and delicious…highly recommended!
