QOTD: I have recently been drinking a lot of great teas I’ve gotten from Harney and Sons, maybe you could do a show on tea in the future.

Totally gots the first wristband. Still the greatest one (or never smart enough to get the other editions).

QOTD: 02′ Ballantine Zin, 05′ WH Smith Cab, 04′ Henri Boillot Meursault, and water. Lots of water.

QOTD: Pocono Pale ale has got me hooked lately. Should grab a petite, it’s been a while.

suprised you didn’t taste Concannon Petite Sirah since it is a value wine AND the first Petite Sirah produced in America (1887 or 1189)

Lots of cab sauv’s…found a great QPR in a Fetzer. Nice taste, for not alot of bones…

I have been trying a lot of spanish wines. Protocolo, and a 2006 Burgans Albarino. Also just had a St Julians Reisling from Michigan. Lots of wine made here in Michigan, and I havent tried much so I am making it a point to do just that. I think Gary V rated the reisling I tried a ways back. It was actually pretty good.

QOTD: Last night I had a bottle of 2005 Zacherle Syrah and 2001 Viña Almaviva S.A. Almaviva (one hell of a bottle of wine). For what it’s worth I have all 4 generations of wristbands.

QOTD: Today I’m drinking the Rioja with a dog on it. Pretty good, not changing my world, but for $10 it’s very solid.

QOTD: Friday night I had a Cascina Morassino Langhe Nebbiolo which is a great value and after I saw Joe G’s value Italian Ustream video I was a little inspired to get back to my roots of drinking value Italian wines and picked up a couple today. Right now I am drinking an 06 La Sibilla Campi Flegrei Piedirosso.

Got the first 3 wristbands, though the dog got them a bit too. Where do I get the 4th? Missed that….Loved the Rosenblum Lyon’s Reserve 2005 Zinfandel, I’ll have to try the Petite Syrah.

I drank a 2006 Rose from Shoestring (in SB County) that was much better at the winery than now. Saw the 2006 McPrice Myers L’Ange Rouge the other day and am going to snap that up b/c 2005 was delicious. Got my first taste on Inskilin (sp.?) Ice Wine the other day and loved it.

QOTD: I can’t get off Italian reds right now. I just tried a wine called Caprari. It’s a sparkling red for less than 15 bones…very fun wine!

Right now I am pretty into the Torbreck rose. It rocks!

I’m all over wristband #1… I’ve tried numerous times to get #s 2 through 4 with no success… 🙁

I have all of the wrist bands. I will have to see if I can get them all together and send in a pick with all of them. 🙂

Pinot Nero lately!

It’s nice to be back watching GV kicking some A! I love the value shows, and I find the Rosenblum finding very interesting.

QOTD: I’m drinking a lot of things, but lately I’ve been leaning toward CDR, Barbera, and New world white blends. Usually the choice depends upon the dinner menu 🙂

QOTD: Today, a Cottesbrook Sauv. Bl. from New Zealand. Earlier today, enjoyed
a Malbec rose from France. Both very unusual and distinctive.

Actually been drinking black cherry martinis lately.. I sure love black cherry vodka.

Love the Mean Grimace Reference! You need a Grimace for your table. They used to make them back in the 70’s. Classic!

Had a flight of 4 white wines with dinner at Merriman’s in Waimea, Hawaii. Two were quite average, another had that hint of burnt rubber I don’t like, and the 4th was very interesting and complex (honeysuckle and a bunch of other things on the sniffy-sniff) but not focused and not worth remembering for when the vacation is over.

Been drinking madiran lately (laplace specifically). Really digging the tannat grape. Love a wine that bites me back!
