I love it when you evaluate something other than just wine. Please do more with cheese and food in general.

I love the cheese and wine shows. My mother passed along the cheese loving gene to me. Just as she did I have cheese every day.

QOTD: about to start sipping a Domaine Ligneres Aric 2002. Now for the cheese………?

Had my first Xarel-lo last night, was delightful! Tonight it wil be Manchego and tapas with a Ribera Del Duero, a Monastrell and maybe a Ca Meritage. Tomorrow, Black Cat Syrah and Laughing Magpie in Golden Gate park…probably more wine too

opening a 2005 Maybach this weekend. I know it’s a baby but I’ve been itching to try one? BTW, Everett are you supposed to eat the rinds or is it wrong not too? I like both the Mt. Tam and Redhawk but the rinds ruin them for me.

Standing outside the Kennedy Center awaiting the start of a Beethoven concert and on my Crackberry I can leave a msg about today’s show.

Of course, I can’t watch it but my lock of the week is:

    Bears over Detroit 30-13

Mmmm…mmmm cheeze. I love wine with cheeze. I find stronger, firmer goes with red better and softer, cremier cheezes go better with white. Maybe that’s just me.

I’m not quite sure what I’m drinking yet for this week-end…going shopping tomorrow. My sommelier friend Bill got a couple interesting things like St-Estèphe and Fronsac and Bandols and what not. I’ve really been into Bordeaux wines lately both red and white.

    Y’all have a good week-end!

  • Great show. I’m an Oregon boy, so Tillamook is always nice. Other than that, I love Kerrygold and all other Irish cheeses. I had a nice bleu cheese from Ireland recently…

Lock O Week: Panthers over chiefs to the tune of 35-17. I’m not sure I’ll be drinking any wine, just one of those weekends.

  • I hope you guys are stocking up on the Cowgirl cheeses, as I’m sure some of us are going to want to snatch that up during the upcoming sale/Super Tasting weekend!

Tonight I’m drinking Rusden Driftsand from the Barossa Valley. 60% Grenache, 40% Shiraz, 100% Tastilicious

Love the cheese episode. I was eating prosciutto, stilton blue, saint louis triple cream brie, and a baguette when I clicked on WLTV and lo and behold, there sits Everett. Great timing….

QOTD – Watching MLB Playoffs and drinking 2003 Tablas Creek Esprit de Beaucastel tonight. I was in the mood for something that rocks the house.

Cheese library makes me soooooo hungry! I’m going San Diego 34, Miami 14. I’ll be eating some triple cream and other stuff and drinking & finishing up a Gruner Veltliner (Leth), the rest of the albarino & syrah from the secret pack, and a Portugese red 2005 Grao Vasco. Have a great weekend!

Yeah, I’ll give you a mortal lock…listen up. The Tampa Bay Rays are going to win the World Series.

    Did you hear me?

BTW: Rays manager Joe Maddon is a big fan of wines, just like us. He’s made several guest appearances on local Tampa Bay cable tv shows, talking about his favorite wines and his desire to expand his palate.

    Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm….cheeeeeeeeeeeeeese! Great show with Everett.

QOTD: Seems like an easy lock is for my sorry-azz Lions to lose. They play the Bears this Sunday. This is close to the “Who Cares?” game of the week.

Watch out for upsets for Buffalo in Arizona and Tennessee in Baltimore.

  • manonthemoon

Love the cheese episodes you are rockin with “the Beard”. I had to go out and get some Mt. Tam after the first episode, great stuff, but Petite Basque still owns the crown. The Carlos Baerga is by far the best card so far.

    QOTD: GI Ants 27 – Hawks 16

I like this guest. Needs maybe a ribbon in his beard? kidding. he’s a good guest. Like the cheese shows, just as impossible to find locally as the wines you do (dig) but interesting. Makes me want to raid the local cheese store and just taste. Gotta love Cowgirl cheese, hope to find them.

It was great to see you pig out on cheeses and almost ignore us. haha.

When is Oct 8th? Want to see your specials!!! smile.
QOTD: I like soft stinky cheese. (is that a song?)Wines for the weekend: Cab, some Pinot Gris and a Port.
