  • Gary – If you are concerned about not giving the wines a fair shot by not decanting them, then why don’t you start decanting them before the show? Why not pick the wines earlier and let them decant for a bit.

  • A “PLONK SHOW”!!!!! What the heck….. good to see that the 2 fer $10 grocery store wines ain’t half bad! I will say, having had those wines, that Columbia Crest is a little bit better in my book… This was definitely a show for the massess!

QOTD – we are having some pork ribs, done Asian style, probably with an off-dry gewurztraminer. After dinner, we will crack open a Hindenburg of a Dry Creek Valley zinfandel and chill, watching football and getting stoopid…..

I have to admit that I don’t understand cheap “meh” wine. For $6, you could get 5 servings of very nice scotch, or a 6-pack of craft beer. Why drink crappy wine?

    QOTD: enchiladas. lots of them.

Interesting episode. Bingo night?!! Guess I run with a different crowd ; )

Good to see our Mr. Mott on the laid-back Friday couch being… well, laid-back!

QOTD: Since I’m working this weekend (evening shift) and not likely to get a meal break, probably boring, utilitarian food with enough whole grain carbs to keep me upright and protein to keep me going. Oh, and coffee. Monday I’ll fix something amazing (like a pumpkin stew with chicken and whatever veggies are around) -throw it in the crock pot and collapse…
